🌌 October 2025 Sky Highlights – Look Up This Month!

Get ready for a spectacular month in the night sky! October brings not one, but two meteor showers, plus two beautiful lunar encounters you won’t want to miss. Here’s what to watch for 👇

🌠 October 8 – Draconid Meteor Shower
The first meteor shower of the month peaks early! Best viewed in the evening hours — look toward the northern sky near the constellation Draco. Draconids are slow but often bright, sometimes producing short bursts of activity.

🌕 October 10 – Moon Meets the Pleiades
The Moon passes close to the Pleiades star cluster — also called the “Seven Sisters.” A stunning sight through binoculars or even with the naked eye in the eastern sky after sunset.

🌙 October 19 – Moon Meets Venus
Watch the delicate crescent Moon pair with dazzling Venus just after sunset in the west. This brilliant duo will shine beautifully in twilight hues.

💫 October 21–22 – Orionid Meteor Shower Peak
Don’t miss one of the most famous annual meteor showers! The Orionids radiate from Orion’s shoulder and can produce up to 20 meteors per hour. Best seen after midnight under a dark sky.

✨ Tip:
Find a spot away from city lights, let your eyes adjust for 15–20 minutes, and enjoy the show nature puts on above us.

🌠 Get Ready for the Draconid Meteor Shower!
Dates: October 8–9, 2025

The Draconids are one of the most unpredictable meteor showers of the year — sometimes producing only a few meteors per hour, and other times bursting into dazzling “meteor storms” with hundreds visible in a single night! 🌌

Unlike most meteor showers, the Draconids are best seen right after sunset, rather than in the pre-dawn hours. That’s because their radiant — the point in the sky where they appear to come from — lies in the northern constellation Draco the Dragon, which is high in the evening sky. 🐉

✨ What to Expect:
• Peak activity: October 8–9 nights
• Best time: Evening hours, just after dusk
• Meteor origin: Dust trails from Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner
• Viewing tip: Find a dark, open spot away from city lights — and look toward the northwest sky

Even though the 2025 display is expected to be moderate, you might still catch several bright meteors streaking across the sky — and under a dark, moonless sky, every one feels magical. 🌠

🌕 LOOK UP TONIGHT! — October 7, 2025
✨ The Year’s First Supermoon will illuminate the autumn sky!

On this night, the Moon will appear bigger and brighter than usual — a true Harvest Supermoon, rising just after sunset and glowing with deep golden tones above the horizon. 🌾

This phenomenon happens when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth (perigee) while being full, creating a stunning visual spectacle that photographers and skywatchers love.

📍 Best time to watch: Shortly after moonrise (just after sunset)
📸 Tip: Look towards the eastern horizon for the most dramatic view as the Moon appears extra large against the landscape.

I just got home from going to the 50th anniversary of the USPA in Chicago and my cup feels so full. I love going on adventures with no expectations and letting the magic take over. This was the first time since Sereia came that I left the state without her and it felt so good to stretch my wings a bit.

A few of you know this lil part of my world that I trained in radionics years ago. My introduction to it was part of the curriculum in my massage school back in 2002. I was absolutely fascinated and curious in the whole concept and process of it and I began training with my teacher a few years later. I use the Malcom Rae devices but I had read about other devices in some of the books out there and this past weekend I got to see some of them firsthand. This is my first time going to the conference and I was honestly completely blown away. Not just by all the incredible equipment in the booths, but the energy of the whole event was just off the charts. I guess that comes with the territory of quantum and scalar energy.

My longtime friend and cosmic SeaStar Stephinity applied to present her research “The Social Miasm Theory”, and got in. After watching her presentation, I was just in awe of her hard work and dedication to her studies and research covering such a wide range of ideas and perspectives weaving them all together in such an artistic way. Complete brilliance. It was also such a monumental moment to watch all these scientific and well researched people respond to her presentation with dropped jaws and with so much enthusiasm of her material. As someone who watched her grow over the years, I am so proud of her and this accomplishment. I know she inspired so many people.

So many serendipitous moments left and right. So many cosmic connections. Such an open gathering with so much love at the heart of it all. I even got to serenade everyone with my crystal harp at the banquet dinner which was a beautiful highlight for me. I’m just speechless and feel super blessed with the whole experience and how humble all these individuals are. I left feeling like I had upgraded 10 fold and that my cup had been poured full and was effortlessly overflowing. Beyond grateful! 🥹💫💖🦋⚡️🪷💎🧬🗝️☝️🌍🌅
