University Park Care Center is located in beautiful Pueblo, Colorado. We focus on celebrating the lives of our residents and patients and the noble qualities they demonstrate, making our nursing home a perfect choice for individuals in need of short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or post-operative recovery. Residents and patients experience first-class service as a daily focus in everything University Park Care Center does. Whether a patient is here for short-term rehabilitation, secured Alzheimer's care, post-operative recovery or long-term care, we make it a priority to ensure the same level of care and service is delivered to all individuals. Focusing on inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care, our in-house rehabilitation team uses state-of-the-art rehab equipment, such as the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill®. Our caregivers and therapists work together to create individualized care plans for each of our champions - celebrating where they have come from and all the positive experiences ahead of them.

Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

☘️ University Park is hosting a St. Patrick's Day Craft Sale and Job Fair on THIS SATURDAY, March 14, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

🛍️ Local vendors, we still have time to sign up to showcase your arts and crafts!

💚 We will also have a raffle giveaway and a table so everyone can meet our team and see what openings we have on our University Park Care Center team.

Vendor set up is 7:30 til 10:30 the morning of March 14. A food truck will also be available. 🚚
