La Doula Amor Doula & Birth Services Inc. volunteer staff and board members have been hard at work behind the scenes preparing and promoting our expansion of services to include a birth center for Pueblo, CO!! We’re excited to announce our official fundraising campaign, Build from the Heart!! We hope to be able to announce our location soon! Until then, please support our efforts by sharing our fundraising information. All donations are tax deductible as we are a registered 501c3 nonprofit agency!

Finally, awareness is being brought to the surface. It saddens me how much more the Pueblo community is going to suffer with psych care being discontinued at our only hospital. Colorado’s maternal mortality rate is unbelievable. And this is why we have a special focus for those who suffer especially during the perinatal period. This is why we provide the services we do.

CU Nursing’s director of midwifery services outlines the seriousness of the maternal-death crisis in the country and how Colorado is confronting the issue.

PREGNANT MAMAS - WE WANT TO GIVE YOU A FREE ULTRASOUND! ❤

We are hosting a couple of Ultrasound Modeling Weeks in February. (The weeks of February 8th and February 28th) Call 719-544-9312 to schedule.

At this time, we prefer First Trimester moms who are willing to model for ultrasound scans.

Participants should expect to be on-site for approximately one hour. Participation is free and confidential. Participants will also receive a free gift in exchange for their time.

"Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration. Congress required the Department of Defense (DoD) to conduct a demonstration project beginning no later than January 1, 2022, to cover the services of doulas and lactation consultants/counselors not otherwise authorized under TRICARE. This demonstration project will run for five years, through December 31, 2026."

I am keeping a close eye on further details, but this is so exciting!
