At the centre of Christmas is a birth story. A young mother giving birth far from home, in a place no parent would choose. Mary, a refugee in a foreign land, bringing new life into the world in the middle of mess and chaos.
And that’s where light arrived. Not in a palace, but in a stable for animals.
Not announced to the powerful, but to shepherds: the ones society overlooked.
Christmas reminds us that hope doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It steps right into the real, everyday, exhausting places where parents live and love and keep going.
So for anyone feeling stretched, tired, or a little lost this season: Christmas began in a story (a birth story) just like that.

“I am a certified doula supporting Colorado (specifically Pueblo). I have had wonderful opportunities working with high risk clients, cesarean, VBAC, and induction. I was inspired to become a doula when I realized the need for support and the support I needed at a point in time after my cesarean in late 2020.

I had a successful VBAC in early 2022 and realized that there was so many unsupportive around me or simply unreliable. I wanted to be the person I needed as a first-time mom.
