๐Ÿ’ก Did you know that fi****ms are the 3rd leading cause of injury-related death among Colorado adults and the leading cause of death for youth ages 1-17? Firearm safety is one of Coloradoโ€™s most urgent public health concerns.

The Colorado Safe Futures Fund is investing in action! CSFF recently awarded $770,000 to 18 community-led organizations working to prevent firearm-related injury and death across Colorado.

Spark is proud to be one of those 18 organizations, receiving funding that directly supports our Mental Wellness Program and work in the su***de prevention space. Together, we are advancing solutions that make Colorado safer. ๐Ÿ’™

Meet our Mental Wellness Program Volunteer: Zenovia Weaver, LSW ๐Ÿ’š

Zenovia began with Spark as a graduate intern with our Mental Wellness Program in Jan. 2023. Zenovia provided a support group to older adults through the Senior Resource Development Agency (SRDA - Joseph H. Edwards Active Adult Center) in Pueblo. She received supervision from Spark and graduated from CSU-Pueblo with her Masterโ€™s Degree in Social Work in May 2024, officially becoming a licensed social worker as of Aug. 2025.

Zenovia is now a clinical candidate pursuing her LCSW, so she can support older adults in Colorado. She currently works at a hospice where she supports patients and their families with end of life care and bereavement support. Spark is proud to be a part of Zenovia's licensure journey! She is an amazing asset to the Social Work Field. Congratulations on all your accomplishments, Zenovia!
