Ana, CNA and Patient Care Technician, believes healthcare runs in her blood. Ana's passion for healthcare stems from her family of caregivers, including her mom, who is an RN.

Ana is a CNA in our ONC/Med Surge Unit and describes her team as a family, a testament to the supportive environment they've created. She knows she can always count on them, whether it's for help with a patient or a shoulder to lean on during a tough day. Ana is constantly learning and growing, thanks to her amazing colleagues. She's now pursuing her nursing degree, underscoring her dedication to patient care.

At CommonSpirit Health, we prioritize safety for our patients and for our caregivers. On this Friday, we join the American Hospital Association and stand in solidarity with our colleagues across our hospitals and clinics – and the healthcare industry – to raise awareness about the increased risk of violence against healthcare workers in recent years.

Make no mistake: Violence and aggression have no place at our care sites. Through increased training, risk evaluation, emotional support for our teams and more, we are dedicated to violence prevention. Every patient deserves to be treated with compassion, and every health care worker deserves to be treated with respect.

We are listening, we are acting, and we are committed to a culture of safety.
