The focus of ACPC Life Services is life coaching, healthy relationship and parenting education with incentives.
PREGNANCY EDUCATION
Childbirth Class – This short class prepares the expectant mother and her labor partner, teaching how to replace the tension response that occurs during labor contractions with relaxation techniques. The facilitator provides information on what to expect from hospital staff and services. Education also assists the labor partner in providing good support, comfort, and encouragement during the birth process. acpcpueblo.org/childbirthclass
Prenatal - A nurse facilitated prenatal class which covers topics including fetal development, common pregnancy discomforts, things to avoid during pregnancy, and ways to take control of your health. The class is interactive, and fun.
FAMILY ENRICHMENT
Circle of Parents Group - Circle of Parents provides a peer-to-peer, safe, supporting, confidential, non-judgmental environment where parents can openly discuss the successes and challenges of parenting. Discipline – Learn how to be a pro-active parent and discover the balance in discipline by guiding children with love and limits. Identify the difference between strong-willed and/or compliant children and learn how to activate your child’s strengths even with the challenges. First Steps - Infancy, Toddler, Discipline or Pre-Adolescence - every stage of development is valuable, no matter the age of your child(ren). Gain tools on how to prepare your children to be successful adults. This weekly program helps you discover the tools to become the best parent for your unique child. Topics include What to expect the first moments to months after Birth, Infant CPR, Car Seat Safety, Baby Health and Safety, Nutrition (for mom and baby), Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention, Building Good Routines, Brain Development and Milestones. acpcpueblo.org/firststeps
First Steps Plus - Personalized classes for new or experienced parents to include First Steps topics (but meets one-on-one), also including topics such as Potty Training, Sleep, Accidents, Illnesses and Parent/Child Bonding. acpcpueblo.org/firststeps
MEN’S PROGRAMS
24/7 Dad - Discover how to be an involved dad and become a positive influence on your child(ren). 24/7 Dad® is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by thousands of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics. The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Throughout the program, men examine their own fatherhood history, learn the 5 characteristics of a 24/7 Dad®, and other important behaviors such as working with mom and proper child discipline to help them be the best dads they can be.
7 Habits of a 24/7 Dad - We all have 24 hours a day and seven days in a week just like our good-fathering neighbors. How a dad spends his time is the real issue. Which comes down to his habits. His habits will reveal whether he's an average dad or good dad. This class looks at the difference between how an average dad and a good dad handles the 7 Habits. The 7 Habits of a 24/7 Dad™ is an 8-hour workshop that combines the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People with the fathering principles of NFI's 24/7 Dad® program.
Journey to Manhood - Get the tools guys needs to achieve success in every area of life. Topics include Men's Health, The Fathers Role, Co-Parenting, Communication and Discipline, and others. This study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. Men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?" acpcpueblo.org/journeytomanhood
Power Hour - Each session encourages men to "Reach Up" to God and "Reach Out" to their families through activities and strategies they can try at home. Sessions include Honor the Mother, Handling Stress and Anxiety, You and Mom - One Flesh, Work-Sabbath Balance, Your Body is a Temple, and Iron Sharpens Iron.

Beautiful Awakening II - Fun, Fashion and Faith! ​
Style— it’s your own unique combination of creativity and confidence that lets your personality shine. This pre-teen / tween prevention program will help you explore and create your one-of-a-kind style while strengthening your character on the inside. Sexual Risk Avoidance - SRA teaches participants how to voluntarily refrain from non-marital s*xual activity. The program also teaches the benefits associated with self-regulation, success sequencing for poverty prevention, healthy relationships, goal setting, and resisting s*xual coercion, dating violence, and other youth risk behaviors such as underage drinking or illicit drug use without normalizing teen s*xual activity.
Reproductive Education - Education provided on topics relating to fertility management, menstruation cycles, STI's and STD’s, and family planning.
SUCCESS BUILDING WORKSHOPS
The Diamond Standard - Successful futures and healthy relationships workshop designed specifically for youth and early adults. A 10-week course, offered on rotation, which will help you discover the keys to whole person health and a promising future by gaining valuable information, skills and resources to showcase the treasure within. Topics include Communication Cycle and Styles, Vision (past and present), Emotional Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Character Measures, Strategic Goal Setting, and more. acpcpueblo.org/thediamondstandard

Bible Studies - ACPC is equipped with several programs from top theologians including "The Truth Project", "The Family Project”, “Life with a Capital L", "The Power Hour", "Who am I”, “Forgiven​ and Set Free", and "Life Disciples".

Women’s Clinic Staff:
ACPC Life Services supports two full-time positions, Clinic Advocate, who performs the initial intake with patients, and patient follow up and Nurse Manager, whose primary function is to perform ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment and serve as a resource for medical questions and referrals. A full time Receptionist is utilized by both the Clinic and Life Services Divisions.
