Meet Corp. Albert West, he was my great-great grandfather. Husband to Eliza Jane and a handful of kids, two of which died from cholera.

Albert passed at the age of 37 while still being held in a Georgia confederate prison of which he was taken as a POW soon after the beginning of The Civil War.

There's nothing on record as to the reason for his passing, yet, in my mind I'm thinking that quite possbily it was due to starvation since the south couldn't really feed their own, let alone prisoners.

Albert has a memoral page on "Find A Grave" which was started by a cousin and Sponsored by myself.
