🐾 Class Full Alert! Our May 18th Basic Obedience is Officially SOLD OUT! 🎉

Hi everyone,
Great news (and a tiny bit of sad news)…
Our May 18th Basic Obedience Class is completely full! 🐶💕
We’re so excited that so many of you are eager to train with your dogs — it makes our tails wag knowing how many wonderful dog parents want to build better bonds and better-mannered pups!

We’re truly sorry we couldn’t fit everyone in this round. Space is limited so we can keep the class high-quality and give each handler-dog team the attention they deserve.

Good news though!
We’ll be adding more Puppy and Basic Obedience classes in May and June. Keep an eye on our club calendar — we’ll announce the new dates very soon!

In the meantime, if you’d like to be added to the waitlist for this class or get notified first when the next sessions open, just hit reply and let us know.

Exciting News for Dogs & Their Humans! 🐾

The Southern Colorado Kennel Club is thrilled to announce our upcoming Basic Obedience Class!

This fun and supportive class is perfect for puppies and adult dogs (and their handlers!) who want to build a strong foundation together. You’ll learn the essential principles of obedience while also working on skills that boost your dog’s self-confidence, focus, and good manners.

We’ll cover all the basics — Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking — and gently introduce the early steps toward the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title. Whether you’re new to training or looking to polish your skills, this class is designed to be positive, practical, and full of tail-wags!

📅 Class Begin on Monday, May 18th from 5-6pm
📍 Location: Southern Colorado Kennel Club at 715 N Grand Ave, Pueblo, CO
👥 Open to all breeds and ages 6 months of age and over (dogs must have evidence of 3 Parvo/Distemper and Rabies Vaccinations.

Spots are limited, so keep an eye out for registration info!

Space Still Available!

Learn how to pass the test to help your dog become a better citizen in your community with the Southern Colorado Kennel Club CGC Prep Class!

This class will teach the 10 basic principles required to get the AKC Canine Good Citizenship title.

Instructor: Jewel West
Co-Instructor: Peg Furth

Key Benefits include:

Promoting Good Behavior: The CGC program helps dogs learn essential manners and obedience skills, making them more pleasant companions in public and at home.

Certification: Dogs that pass the CGC test receive a certificate and can have the title "CGC" added to their name, which can enhance their reputation as well-mannered pets.

Community Acceptance: Completing the CGC program can help dogs gain acceptance in various community settings, as it demonstrates their ability to behave appropriately around people and other animals.

-This 4-week class begins on Saturday, April 4, 2026, 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM
-This class includes one free CGC test
-To be eligible for this class, your dog must be friendly and have knowledge of the basic principles of obedience.
-4-week Class is $100 due at the time of registration

The family will have another service in Wisconsin later this month for family and friends in the Midwest.

The curriculum includes:

-Community and laughs
