Years. So many people spends years on a transplant list just waiting and hoping for a donor to become available. As we near Paul’s presentation to the board this week…. I’ve really been reflecting. I never thought we would be in this situation. So many people have expressed concern… what about the kids, who will take care of you both? I get it. I truly do and I’ve had these thoughts in my head many times. We are so fortunate to have the amazing support system we do. We have plenty of people in our corner who are ready and willing to jump in to help. Is it scary? Yes… but I have to try. If I can be his donor…. I’m ready.

Okay—- lots of good news today! I’ve been dealing with my arms going completely numb along with severe lower back pain for monthsssss. The new ortho I saw really felt they were not connected, and that I was just blessed with two issues..he was concerned about a neck compression or something like possibly MS….. initial report is not showing signs of either one of those! I have severe carpal tunnel in the right arm and moderate in the left… I will need surgery, but that’s going to have to wait for now. But the plus is- no neck fractures! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Also- as much as I wanted it to be today- Paul WILLLLLLL be placed “in selection” for transplant next Tuesday. So hopefully we can start moving towards the next chapter. Send all the good vibes this week. I need him approved next week more than anyone knows.

Psychiatry and psychology have cleared Paul and basically given approval for transplant! I don’t know when they are presenting him yet, I’m waiting to speak to his coordinator…. But this is a hugeeeee step!

It’s going to be an interesting drive to Pitt with this wind/ice storm. …. But today Paul has scans for that spot on his liver… so if you could all keep him in your thoughts today we would greatly appreciate it! ❤️❤️

Whewwww. It’s been a busy few weeks here in our little bubble. I know we haven’t posted much, but life has just been crazy with no big changes in the liver world.

I’m fairly certain, since school started someone has constantly been sick. We have had kids home sick left and right, many drs appointments and just cranky kiddos who needed some extra love.

Our oldest kids had a great idea to bake for the holidays- and donate their earnings to families in need. Of course I jumped on board- but holy crap! This little hobby took off in a much bigger way than I expected. Things have been BUSY. It’s been such a blessing and honestly I’m loving it but I was not prepared for so much success in this little venture. 72 DOZEN cookies were delivered yesterday- and that was just the beginning.

Paul had his second appointment with the counselor and all things seem to be going well. They also switched his coordinator, and the new one seems super nice and on top of things. We hope to have time for a real update soon.

Paul is really coming out of his shell and being more open with his whole experience, and honestly I’m so proud of him for that. It’s hard to accept, and share your journey when so much criticism is out there- but he’s doing it.

If you ordered shirts- they’re ready. Local friends, I will be reaching out and hopefully dropping them off to you this weekend. Florida friends- I just got my packages back… and they will be shipped out first thing next week. 😭🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Between all of this- life has been a bit hectic, but in the absolute best way possible. Paul has some great ideas and we have some big plans… that will hopefully help all of this run smoother..so stay tuned!

This weekend will be spent relaxing and getting a jump start on orders. It seems like there’s so much time in a day, but I’m quickly learning that’s not the case. We’re hoping to get lots of things caught up and new things started so we can enjoy the rest of this holiday season making even more beautiful memories.

We hope to jump on here soon… maybe with a Christmas edition???? Things that are the same, and things we’ve had to change… 🤔🤔 yes? No? Let us know what your families traditions are below. I absolutely love hearing them all!

So- funny story for our Florida family. Kind of. I mailed all of your shirts quite awhile ago. I know you’re all waiting patiently, and after many calls to figure out what the heck is going on…. I have an answer!

My mom was trying to be nice, and gave me some prepaid shipping packages from ups… they have the drs name on them that she works for. They are meant to be used for mailing out drug samples to patients.

Well, because I was mailing these all out of state- they flagged them and paused shipping because they thought I was sending you all drugs.

After completing their inspections… they are now being sent back to me… and then I will send them back out- with normal packaging.

We will plan a new day for everyone to wear their shirts for Paul as soon as everyone gets their drug free happy mail!

It’s looking like we may need to head the the ER today. I’m currently waiting to hear from his dr to see if he should go local, or if we should head to Pitt. ❤️ good vibes are welcomed today! We’ll try to let you all know what’s going on here soon.
