Mother’s Day can hold many emotions at once — gratitude, love, remembrance, and sometimes deep sadness. Today, we honor and support all who are celebrating, grieving, missing their mother, longing to be a mother, or carrying the ache of empty arms. May you be surrounded by kindness, comfort, and love today. 💗

Arlene F. Stucker, 92, of Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, May 7. She was born on September 2, 1933, to Edward and Goldie (White) Vandenplas.
Arlene grew up in Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski High School. She began her career managing the sales floor at Segall’s Mercantile, a position she held until the age of 40. She later pursued her entrepreneurial spirit by opening and operating three small clothing stores, which she owned until her retirement.
In retirement, Arlene devoted much of her time to quilting and was an active member of four quilt guilds, including Warmth from the Heart. Among her many creations were the quilts used as a backdrops for the stage at Mielke Theater in Shawano for the old-time music festival. Arlene also enjoyed cooking and was an avid card player.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Lori Stucker; nieces: Debbie (Marv) Niec and Darlene (Jim) Hillier.
In addition to her parents, Edward and Goldie, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Smith.
All are invited to gather at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Sunday, May 31, from 3-5 p.m. with a funeral service at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Mill Center Cemetery, Howard.
Online condolences may be offered at www.marnochafuneralhome.com or on the Marnocha Funeral Home page.

Today, we honor the strength, sacrifice, and quiet resilience of military spouses. Behind every service member is a family that serves too — through deployments, transitions, uncertainty, and unwavering support.

To all military spouses in our community: thank you for the sacrifices you make and the love and stability you provide every day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
