September is National Cholesterol Education Month! 🩺✨ It’s the perfect time to take charge of your heart health. Here are some tips to help you manage your cholesterol:

🥗 Eat heart-healthy foods like fruits, veggies, and whole grains
🏃‍♂️ Get moving with at least 30 minutes of exercise daily
🛑 Avoid trans fats and limit saturated fats
💧 Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy weight
🩺 Don’t forget to get your cholesterol levels checked regularly!

Medi Hospice Volunteer Program has a passionate, talented and caring group of volunteers that continue to make a lasting impact on our patients throughout the many counties that we serve. One shining example is Ruth Lewis from Max Creek Baptist Church in Draper, VA whose handmade blankets have brought not only warmth, but encouragement to the recipients of these beautiful creations. We are so grateful for the amazing Ashley Peck, a compassionate and patient-centered volunteer who has dedicated over 25+ hours to Medi Hospice since Fall 2024. Her kindness brought comfort to our patients and relief to their families and caregivers. As she graduates from Virginia Tech this Spring 2025, we wish her all the best in her next chapter.
