As communities across the country recognize Older Americans Month this May, the theme "Champion Your Health" highlights the importance of staying active, safe and supported while aging. For many older adults and caregivers, that support starts with their local Area Agency on Aging (AAA).

The New River Valley Agency on Aging provides programming, information and referrals to nutrition programs, health and wellness services, legal assistance and caregiver supports available throughout the community. Trained staff work directly with individuals and families to identify needs and connect them to the right resources.
