Thank you to the Virginia Tech Women's Club for contributing the ingredients and assembling over 500 shelf-stable meals for seniors. Today's menu was Cranberry Pecan Oatmeal-a favorite among our Homebound Seniors. The Staples for Seniors program ensures that our most vulnerable elderly neighbors have a variety of shelf-stable meals to bolster nutrition. To learn more about our Nutrition Programs for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities, visit www.nrvaoa.org, or call 540-980-7720.

The members of the Christiansburg Friendship Café created some very colorful "Easter Eggs" for the display board last week. If you zoom in you can also see a group picture of this lively bunch, and photos from a 100th Birthday Celebration. The members finished their day seated in a circle, passing around balloons with pool noodles. They sure know how to have fun!

If you would like to learn more about a Friendship Café, or Congregate Meal Program near you, call 540-980-7720 or visit nrvaoa.org.
