InStill Mindfulness Cultivating a mindful world for all with kindness, compassion, and caring through education, action, and community.
(1)

InStill is committed to cultivating a mindful world for all. Our mission is to cultivate kindness, compassion, and caring through education, action, and community. Our Core Principle is Connection—with heart, mind, self, synapses, nature, and community. Our Values include:
Gratitude: We value gratitude in our own lives, and offer it freely. Self-care: We value self-care in our own lives, and aim t

o instill it in those around us. Awareness: We value the development of our own awareness, and provide tools to help others develop it in themselves. Redefine the mind: We value how mindfulness has changed our relationship with our mind, and foster it in others. Simplicity: We value simplicity as an antidote to chaos. Adaptability: We value adaptability, and welcome change rather than resist it. Walk the Walk: We value authenticity, and only aim to ‘preach’ what we actually practice. Acceptance: We value the equanimity gained through acceptance, and try to meet people where they are.

From hardship to healing 💙
Our very own Pamela Edwards, Crisis Response & Outreach Coordinator at InStill Mindfulness, has been named NRVCS’s 2025 Agent of Hope!

Through her journey of trauma, recovery, and resilience, Pamela uplifts and empowers others with compassion and honesty.

“Just because you're in recovery doesn’t mean you’re broken,” she says.
“I'm an open book with many chapters.”

We’re so proud to celebrate Pamela, a true example of strength, growth, and hope.

At InStill, we believe every child deserves to start the school year feeling prepared and supported.

The T.G. Howard Community Center Inc. will be giving out book bags and supplies again this year — their 6th year doing so!

Last academic season, thanks to donations from the community, T.G. Howard Board members, churches, organizations, the Ruritan Club, and individuals… well over 300 book bags with supplies were given away.

This year, the need in the New River area appears to be as great, or greater due to new financial challenges.

The T.G. Howard Community Center Inc. is asking for additional donations to help meet this need. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

All donations can be claimed as a tax deduction. Thank you for considering this request.
