DPC lets you make sensible decisions and creates time by reducing busywork. Fee for service squeezes out anything and everything you cannot bill for including advising people on the phone as to whether they need to come in or not. Yesterday I consulted with three moms who had concerns about their kiddos - one head injury, one rash/fever, one earache. All were appropriately managed with photo review and history via text message. All were offered appointments, but after reassurance all opted to stay home with their kids. At follow up, all the kids are doing better today! No one had to miss school or work. No one had to fret unnecessarily, and I was able to manage all my patient’s needs efficiently.
