I have loved as a new mom, but this sponsor email sent me over the edge. 😡
Time is up for weight loss programs to continue to infiltrate every aspect of our lives with lies like “diet is self-care.”
I am a dietitian who believes in the power of food, but that power has too long been used to hurt us by using it to try to change the size and shape of our bodies.
It’s time to start thinking of how food can HELP us. Food is love, enjoyment, life, and health. It can be a beautiful way to care for yourself and others, but it can also be basic sustenance. ..
I have always been more comfortable as a quiet advocate, but recently inspired, I chose to step out of that quietness to tell the world:
🗣 Your body is a good body, just the way it is now.
🗣 You can eat without guilt, shame, or “making up for it later”
🗣 Caring for yourself includes eating multiple times a day, every single day.
🗣 No one ever needs to go on a weight loss diet ever again. I promise. ..
Are these concepts new to you? Are you intrigued, uncomfortable, or relieved?? I want to know!! Reach out in comments, DMs, or set up a phone call (link in profile).
