These two just look like they are bursting with new, useful knowledge, right?!

Dr. Thompson and Dr. Hall have been off in Dallas for the AAFP’s Residency Leadership Summit the last few days, soaking up new ACGME requirements, residency education best practices, innovative ideas, and collaborating with colleagues. We can’t wait to hear what they come back with!

Now just waiting, waiting, waiting on match week!

When didactics turns into hours of 70’s Murder Mystery complete with a killer, hilarious aliases, motives, rainbow jello, accusing each other, and learning in the meantime.

Quote of the day from Dr. Wond (ahem, James Wond) while defending himself about his many motives...
“Yes, I may have taken a lot of blows, including to my hand (a boxers fracture) but the greatest was losing the the most incredible mentor in Dr. Hallmark.”

Thanks Dr. Harris for all the fun!

Dr. Jeff Ward, R3 family medicine resident, received a pretty cool honor this week!

Ken Casavant, Foundation Board Member gave him a Guardian Angel Award stating:
"His personality is a blessing, followed by his professional skills. Stay here Jeff!"

The Guardian Angel program gives you an opportunity to honor a physician, nurse or hospital staff member while supporting Pullman Regional Hospital. If a physician, nurse, support staff, or volunteer has brought you or your family members comfort in a time of need, please consider recognizing them through a gift to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. Gifts received through this program pay tribute to the special caregiver, while also helping to provide resources for the hospital's highest needs.

In honor of “Second Looks” this week, let’s get to know Pullman a little bit better here, too!

A few favorite accounts to learn about Pullman, downtown and all the things going on around here.

A few of Dr. Katie’s favorite things?
- Sanctuary Dance (my kids basically live there!)
- Pastries at Roost Coffee & Market
- Reubens and the overall vibe at Rico’s
- The giving spirit of Birch & Barley, they are always donating to the community!
- Pullman HS athletics and drama events and supporting all the student interests.
- Walking the big loop around town.
- Old Moscow Pullman highway for photo taking in May. Those rolling green hills are out of this world.
- Too many more things to list! 💕

We are so thrilled to announce that 3rd year resident Dr. Jeff Ward has matched into a sports medicine fellowship position in Baltimore at the University of Maryland!

In his position there, he will have the opportunity to work with local high school teams, University of Maryland athletics and the Baltimore Ravens. What a super cool experience. We know that he is going to be great and are so proud of all his hard work to get to this point!

We sure hope they have Buffalo Wild Wings and chocolate muffins in Baltimore 🤣

You really want to get a closer look at Pullman, the town, the hospital, the real estate, the schools, the restaurants, the job opportunities for a partner and ask questions about everything you would be jumping into. We get it! You’re in luck. Our ambassadors help do “Second Looks” for just this!

You get a more in depth view of Pullman from a local with no impact on rank list (ours will already be made) - this is just for you.
