With the pandemic continuing into 2022⁠; here are some helpful tips on how Medicare covers vaccines:
⁠ Medicare Part B covers preventative services- and there are 5 vaccines that fall under that category: Influenza, Pneumonia, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and COVID-19 Booster. Also, Medicare Part D, which covers Prescriptions must cover at least one Shingles Vaccines, although, you may have to pay into your Part D Deductible.

Medicare uses the term "IRMAA". What exactly does that mean? Well, If you are a high-income earner, you will pay an Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount on top of your Part B and Part D premiums. For 2022, if your IRS tax return from 2 years ago shows that you earned more than $91,000 as an individual or $182,000 filing jointly, then you will be assessed a higher premium.⁠

Exercise is important for all age groups, including seniors. Making sure that you stay physically active can help to maintain mobility and physical function, lift your mood, and make performing your day-to-day activities easier.

SilverSneakers is a health and fitness program that provides gym access and fitness classes for older adults. It’s covered by some Medicare plans.

A 2020 FloridaBlue Study showed that SilverSneakers participants had higher self-reported physical and mental health scores, reduced medication prescriptions, and very few chronic issues. Does your Medicare plan offer free gym membership like ? Message us for info; we can check for you. Most plans offer a home gym workout option during covid as well.

Wow, big update for 2022 Medicare Enrollees. The Part B standard premium is going from $148.50 in 2021 to $170.10 in 2022.

The annual deductible for Medicare Part B beneficiaries will be increasing from $203 in 2021 to $233 in 2022.

Luckily, Social Security Benefits are going up 5.9% for 70 million Americans as well. This will help offset the rising price of Part B.
If you receive Social Security Benefits, the Part B Premium is automatically deducted from your benefits check each month.

Here is a breakdown of what type of plans our client are on:
--60% have a Medicare Supplement +Part D Drug Plan.
--30% have a Medicare Advantage Plan
--10% have a DSNP or CSNP Special Needs Plan for having a disability or Chronic Condition, therefore qualifying for a special plan.
