Baby Pictures, Big Smiles: A Fun Way to Connect as the Activage Care Team
At Activage, caregiving is meaningful and important work—but we also believe that having fun together as a team matters just as much. One of our favorite team-building activities is the “Who’s Who” baby photo challenge, and it consistently brings laughter, smiles, and connection.
Our caregivers share baby photos of themselves, and the team guesses who’s who. It’s a simple activity, but it creates genuine connection, breaks the ice, and reminds us that behind every Activage caregiver is a unique story and personality.
These lighthearted moments help strengthen teamwork and boost morale. When caregivers feel supported and connected, it reflects in the compassionate, consistent care they provide to our clients every day.
At Activage, home care is about people—both the seniors we support and the caregivers who show up with heart and dedication. Finding joy in small moments, like sharing baby photos, helps keep our team connected, positive, and united.

🎃👻 ’Twas the Night Before Halloween 👻🎃 and throughout Home Care, Not a client was stirring — just calm in the air...

The schedules were posted with precision and flair,
In hopes that smooth service soon would be there!

Then up from her desk came Melissa the Ghost,
Leading her care crew from coast to coast.

With clipboard in hand and a marketing grin,
She met with new families and welcomed them in.

Recruiting and hiring, she floats with such grace,
Keeping compassion the heart of our place.

Next floated Amber, our Ops Ghost supreme,
The backbone, the builder, the dream behind the dream.

With policies, payroll, and problem-solving might,
She keeps every system running just right.

Compliance and SOPs? She’s already there —
No spooky surprises can scare our Home Care!

Then Billing Ghost Alyssa appeared on the scene,
With her turquoise shades and accountant sheen.

Invoices? Paid. Vendors? Checked twice.
Insurance claims handled with hauntingly nice advice.

Her books are balanced, her ledgers aligned,
Even the spirits are fiscally inclined!

But beyond these three phantoms who keep things in line,
Are 80+ caregivers who truly shine!

They work through the night, the day, and the calls,
Giving their hearts — and their all.

Their kindness and care, both steady and true,
Make our mission real in all that we do.

Together, our office team floated through the hall,
Keeping the heartbeat of Home Care for all.

So if you feel a whisper or gentle cheer,
It’s our ghostly care team bringing comfort near.

🎉 WOO HOOO!!! WE... ARE... DEFICIENCY FREE!!! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce that ActivAge Home Care has once again passed our state survey with zero deficiencies!

Since our last inspection, our team has doubled in size, our office has grown busier than ever, and yet through all the hustle, this amazing team continues to raise the bar in everything they do.

A huge shoutout to Melissa and Amber for leading the charge, holding down the fort in the midst of the chaos, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

🌟 Happy 6-Year Workiversary, Amber Simpson! 🌟 Today we honor someone who's played a strategic role in helping build the foundation ActivAge stands on today.

Over the past 6 years, Amber has worn countless hats and risen to every challenge. We often refer to Amber as our "Swiss Army Knife."

She’s stepped in to lead our Home Care team when we needed her most, became a marketer when the situation called for it, has been the interim scheduling coordinator, head of HR, and everything else in between.

From payroll and billing to I.T., operations, policies, and everything in between, Amber makes the impossible look effortless.

She’s the one who keeps us organized, accountable, and always moving forward. Whether she’s solving a tough problem, guiding a family with compassion, leading a meeting, or even fixing a stubborn computer, Amber always finds the solution—and gives 150% in the process.

But it’s not just her skills that make her indispensable. Amber brings a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and a heart for people. She is a leader, a problem-solver, and a constant source of support for every single one of us.

Together, we’ve weathered hurricanes, faced obstacles head-on, and climbed mountains that seemed impossible... but with Amber’s relentless drive, we always made it through!

Today we honor someone whose quiet strength and steadfast heart have help shape our journey since the very beginning — Nurse Chris Waters, who marks 14 years with us today. 🩺❤️

Back in 2011, we had a dream to open an assisted living, a little courage, and a whole lot of uncertainty. But one thing we didn’t realize we had — was Chris Waters.

She showed up before the paint had dried, before the rooms were filled, and before the vision existed.

And from that day forward, Chris has been an anchor through every chapter — from opening our doors for the first time, to expanding services, surviving storms (literal and figurative), and transforming lives. She's the one person who’s seen it all from the very beginning!

Chris, thank you for believing in us when we were just getting started — and for walking every step of this 14-year journey beside us.

Your legacy is not just in how long you’ve been here… it’s in how deeply you’ve cared. Cared for our team, our residents, our members, our clients and the families we serve!
