3) Myofascial Release - $80.00 / hr
Myofascial massage, or Myofascial Release (MFR), is a manual therapy that uses gentle, sustained pressure and stretching to release tightness and restrictions in the body's fascia—the fibrous connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, nerves, and organs. This therapy helps to improve range of motion, decrease pain, correct posture, and enhance overall mobility by addressing adhesions and trigger points in the fascia caused by injury, trauma, or repetitive stress.

What is fascia?
Fascia is a three-dimensional network of connective tissue that provides structural support and protects all tissues and organs in the body. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can limit movement and cause pain in various parts of the body.

How does myofascial massage work?
Hands-on techniques: A therapist uses sustained, gentle pressure and stretching on restricted areas of the fascia to create a natural stretch in the tissue.

Identifying restrictions: The therapist looks for stiff, tightened areas of fascia and applies gentle pressure to help them elongate and release.

No lubricants: Unlike a typical massage, myofascial massage often involves no oils or lubricants because the direct contact and friction are crucial for the therapist to effectively work with the fascial layer.

Benefits of Myofascial Release:

Pain relief: Reduces chronic pain by easing tension and tightness in the fascia.
Increased mobility and flexibility: Improves range of motion and allows for greater freedom of movement.

Improved posture and alignment: Helps correct imbalances in the body's structure.
Enhanced circulation: Boosts blood and lymphatic flow, supporting healing and detoxification.

Stress reduction: Can promote deep relaxation by soothing the nervous system.

When is it beneficial?

Myofascial massage can be helpful for various conditions, including: Chronic pain, Sports injuries, Postural imbalances, Persistent pain after rest or exercise, and Feeling fatigued after workouts.

2) Lypossage - A series of 18 Lypossage™ treatments performed over the course of 4-8 weeks starts at $1,620 for one zone per appointment session (18 treatments in total); $2700 for two zones per appointment session (36 treatments in total) and $3,780 for three zones per appointment session 54 treatments in total.)

Lypossage™ is a non-invasive body contouring massage technique that combines deep lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, and physical therapy to improve body tone, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and promote circulation.

Developed by Charles Wiltsie, it's a holistic approach to body sculpting that targets specific "zones" with various massage techniques to break down adhesions and stimulate fluid flow.

How it Works
Lypossage™ utilizes a combination of techniques, including:

Deep Lymphatic Drainage: Gentle, rhythmic movements are used to stimulate the lymphatic system and help drain excess fluid and toxins.

Myofascial Release: This technique addresses fascial restrictions—the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs—to improve flexibility and reduce tension.

Complex Physical Therapy Techniques: Various manual techniques, such as skin rolling, compression, and wringing, are used to improve circulation, break down adhesions, and enhance body tone.

Key Aspects
Zones: The body is divided into "zones" that respond well to the technique. A program typically focuses on one or more of these zones.

Holistic Approach: Lypossage™ considers the body as a whole, aiming for overall improvements in circulation and lymphatic flow.

Non-Invasive: Unlike surgical procedures, Lypossage™ is a non-invasive treatment with no recovery or downtime.

Body Contouring: While some weight loss may occur, the primary goal is inch loss, improved skin tone, and a reduction in the "orange peel" effect of cellulite.

Benefits Reduced appearance of cellulite and dimpled skin, Improved skin tone and texture, Reduced muscle tension, Improved circulation and lymphatic flow, and Potential for inch loss and overall body contouring.

Considerations
Cumulative Treatment: For best results, a full program of 18 sessions is recommended.

Progression: Similar to exercise, the body needs time to adapt and may show improvements over the course of the treatment.

Partner in Wellness: Practitioners may also offer wellness coaching to further enhance results.

1) Thai Massage - $80.00/hr

Thai massage is an interactive, full-body treatment on a floor mat that uses acupressure, compression, and yoga-like stretching to improve flexibility, relieve tension, and boost energy. The therapist, clothed, uses their hands, knees, elbows, and feet to move the client through a series of postures while applying pressure to specific points. Unlike many other massages, Thai massage doesn't use oils and is more of an energizing, athletic experience than a purely relaxing one, though it can leave you feeling calm and centered.

What to expect during a session

On a mat: The massage is performed on a padded mat on the floor.

Fully clothed: You remain clothed in loose, comfortable attire.

No oils: Oils and lotions are not typically used in a traditional Thai massage.

Hands-on pressure: The therapist uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure.

Assisted yoga: You are guided through a series of yoga-like stretches and positions.

Deep work: The massage is often vigorous and athletic, intended to release tension and increase range of motion.

Key differences from other massages

Oil-free: Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions.

On the floor: It takes place on a mat on the floor rather than a massage table.

Passive and active: While it involves passive stretching by the therapist, the client's body is actively involved in the positions.

Holistic focus: It combines acupressure, stretching, and spiritual components, aiming to balance the body's energy.

Potential benefits Increased flexibility and mobility, Reduced stress and anxiety, Improved circulation, Relief from muscle tension and pain, and Enhanced sense of well-being.
