Ronald Mac Wright, Sr.

Ronald Mac Wright, Sr., 79, of Mahaffey, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2026.

He was born on April 29, 1946, in Burnside to Ross J. and Mae (Bouch) Wright.

After serving in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, he spent many years running heavy equipment for Benjamin Coal Co. Ronald had a passion for the outdoors and hunting, but he especially enjoyed fishing with his son Ronnie and grandson Nick in the Gulf of Louisiana. One of his fondest memories was when Ronnie and Donnie took him to Texas to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, his favorite football team. Ronald was a member of The Church of Christ and he loved spending time with family, creating memories that his loved ones will always treasure.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia (Hilliard) Wright, his children: Ronald Jr. (Jacque) Wright, Louisiana, Melissa Wright Termin, Mahaffey, John (Kelly) Wright, Missouri, Donald (Christine) Wright, Mahaffey, and Bridgett (Skip) Buterbaugh, Cherry Tree, 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brother Dan (Carol) Wright, and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Wright and Thomas Wright and Robert Wright.

Family and friends will be received at Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market Street, Mahaffey, PA, 15757 on Tuesday, from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM. Additional visitation will be on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Thomas P. McCullough of Pompano Beach, Florida and Stratford, Connecticut passed away February 16, 2026 at his home in Florida.

He was born September 22, 1953 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, a son of the late John ‘Jack’ and Rebecca (Means) McCullough.

Tom was a 1971 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School where he was a four-sport letterman in football, basketball, track and field, and volleyball. He attended Slippery Rock University and later worked as a heavy equipment operator and property investor in multiple states, including the renovation and sale of the House of Serian in Punxsutawney. Tom enjoyed riding his Harley, working on his sports cars, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Patsy Dunmire and Eileen Mayer.

He is survived by close friend Dennis Serian of Pompano Beach, Florida, beloved daughter Dr. Kelly Snyder of DuBois, Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Jeremy, Mikayla, Samantha, and Jessica Duckett. Also surviving are his siblings Michael (Nancy) McCullough, Coleen (Dave) Tyler, Dan (Lin Qin) McCullough, and John (Laurie) McCullough, as well as many nieces and nephews he adored.

Family and friends will be received Friday, February 27, from 5PM to 7PM at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA, 15767. Additional visitation will be held from 9AM until the time of the funeral service at 10AM on Saturday, February 28, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Punxsutawney’s Music in the Park, 301 East Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA, 15767 as music was one of Tom’s great enjoyments in life.

Linda Diane Bowers

Linda Diane Bowers, 65, of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 11, 2026.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry C. Bowers; her daughter, Valerie Wencil and husband Josh Wencil; her son, Rusty Bowers and wife Courtney Bowers; and her beloved grandchildren, Brenden, Alaina, Aleaha, Madilynn, Barrett, and Samuel, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Bowers and Gary and wife Nicki McAninch, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Linda found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and reading, often creating handmade treasures for those she loved. Her kindness, creativity, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA. In accordance with the family’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of life will be planned for early summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda’s memory.

Kenneth E. Bowser, 66, of Punxsutawney, passed away on February 8, 2026 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born July 5, 1959 in Punxsutawney to the late Emerson and Mary (Burkett) Bowser.

Ken was a 1977 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. He married Susan (Burkett) Bowser and they enjoyed over thirty years together. Ken was a member of Mt. Tabor Bible Church. He enjoyed the outdoors – hunting and trapping and he also loved gardening and canning his harvest. His true passion was dairy farming but most of all Ken loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by his children Kathryn Bowser of DuBois and Dallas Bowser of Punxsutawney; siblings William (Barb) Bowser, Richard (Judy) Bowser and Darlene (Denny) Barr all of Punxsutawney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marianne Shaffer.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4-7pm at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, and also on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Doug Wolfe officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ken’s memory to Mt. Tabor Bible Church, 1219 Anita-Oliveburg Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Irene R. "Chickie" Mennetti, 74, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on February 8, 2026 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born on June 18, 1951, in DuBois, PA, to Nicholas and Jane Ann (Biggie) Spak.

She graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1969. Chickie married her husband Bob on June 1, 1974 and made a career as a Meter Assembler for Sensus Meters for 40 years until her retirement.

Chickie had a fondness for nature, often enjoying the sights of birds and deer outside her window. She had a special hobby of collecting music boxes.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Mennetti, along with her siblings: Mary (Ken) Bailey of DuBois, Nickie (Joe) Smith of Florida, Jane (Michael) Petrick of Punxsutawney, and Ann (Kevin) Burkett of Reynoldsville. Chickie also is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Mennetti; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Susanne Mennetti; sister-in-law, Sandy Mennetti; and brother-in-law, Dr. Anthony Ross as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Chickie is preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Smelko; brothers-in-law, Samuel Mennetti, Richard Mennetti, and Don Smelko; sister-in-law, Kathryn Ross; niece, Katelyn Smelko and nephew, James Petrick. She will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her.

Services are private and have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Shirley JoAnn Williams

Shirley JoAnn Williams, 79, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Mulberry Square.

She was born March 18, 1946 to George and Shirley (Pierce) Reitz in Reynoldsville.

Shirley was a member of the Big Run Presbyterian Church. She owned and operated several personal care homes in the area. Most recently she worked at the Community Center for the past 10 years. Shirley was always willing to help where she was needed. She was an avid Steelers fan. Most of all she loved working at the community center and visiting with her friends and family.

Shirley is survived by a son Clyde R. Beck, Jr. (Amie), Punxsutawney, a grandson Casey R. Beck (Micah), OK, four great grandchildren and her lifelong friend Shirley Huey-Bougher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Russell J. Butson, and two brothers, John Tabacsko and Butch Pierce.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc. 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, with Pastor Chris Brooks officiating.

Kenneth E. Troutman, 79, of Youngstown, Ohio, formerly of Valier, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born May 24, 1946 to Boyd and Blanche (Blose) Troutman in Punxsutawney.

Ken attended Punxsutawney Area High School. After high school he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. In 1969 he moved to Youngstown, Ohio and started working for General Motors Lordstown plant and worked for General Motors 35 years before his retirement in 2005. Ken was a car enthusiast who liked attending car shows. He also enjoyed outdoor activities but most of all Ken loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra (Henry) Troutman, a son Stacy E. Troutman and wife Cris, Youngstown, a daughter Ginger L. Henry, DuBois, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, a sister Marian L. Smith, Punxsutawney, a brother William B. Troutman and wife Robin, Punxsutawney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters; Joyce Loretta Troutman, Twila Baun, Jean Gaston, Kay Lake, Viola Christian, and Ruth Kaylor, and a brother Robert Troutman.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM and also from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Janet Chiplis officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard.
