Maybe it’s because I’ve been working in healthcare for so long, or maybe just because I am a good human being….

I take care of every single patient I have the exact same as the next, regardless of race, religion, political preference, what you did when you were 23 years old and making bad decisions, if you’ve been divorced, if you kicked the neighbors dog, if you’ve been to jail, if you have 2 baby daddy’s, if your a CEO of a big old company, if you’re a billionaire. Everyone is TREATED THE SAME…

Here is a scenario for you- I’m your nurse and your parent, spouse, child or anyone that matters to you is in the hospital and needs CPR… but wait I need to know what their political party preferences are, because mine might not be the same, or I don’t think I like the way you talked to me, 5 mins before they coded so that will determine whether or not I start CPR…

Never did I image I would live in a world where someone’s opinion, views and choice of political party would determine the value of their life…

I NEVER voice my feeling about things like this on social media but the recent events that have occurred have me feeling so incredibly heavy, heart broken and just mind blown….
