✨ Let’s talk about food noise.

You may have heard this phrase come up more often lately in context of GLP1s, but what exactly is food noise, and why does it matter?

I’ve invited my colleague, Allison Tepper, a registered dietician to unpack this important topic. Together, we’ll explore:
👉 What food noise really means
👉 Why we experience it
👉 How we can get curious about where it comes from—physiologically, emotionally, and socially
👉 What we can do to begin shifting our relationship with it

This isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about awareness, curiosity, and compassion for the ways our bodies and minds respond to food.

Grateful for what we do and who we do it with.

So many people get stuck in the downward spiral of pain.
➡️ They get a diagnosis.
➡️ They see an image.
➡️ They get scared.
➡️ They stop moving.
➡️ Their world gets smaller and smaller.

You don’t have to live in fear of pain.

It’s not about one magic solution—it’s about the right combination of care: hands-on therapy to calm your nervous system and get your body feeling safe, paired with movement that actually feels good.

✨ Respect your pain, but don’t fear it. With the right support, your body can move, heal, and feel strong again.

If this message speaks to you, drop a ❤️ in the comments—or send me a message. You don’t have to do this alone.

This hit me hard yesterday while I was out running errands. I have a daughter, and when I saw it, I felt it deep. Right now, she’s still young and unaware—but one day she’ll be old enough to notice what the world tells her she should look like. What’s considered “sexy,” how to get attention, what to wear, what to think.

When 13-year-old girls believe they need “baby Botox,” rely on heavy Snapchat filters just to post a photo, or pour money into extravagant skincare routines—that’s not on them. That’s on us. That’s a cultural failure.

This isn’t about shaming adults. As adults, our brains are developed enough to make informed choices. If you choose Botox, fillers, or whatever makes you feel good—more power to you. But young, impressionable minds who just want to feel loved are watching us all the time.

Like everything in life, balance matters. The desire to be healthy can so easily tip into unhealthy obsessions with appearance, fitness, food, and more.

So to the girls growing up in this world: we love you just the way you are. Messy, struggling, growing, figuring it out—you’re enough. Always. I am still figuring it out too and I am 40 years young.

Join Melinda Rhoads of Rho Wellness and Jenna Calo of Art of Motion Physical Therapy for our upcoming women’s only event “Mood, Sweat, & Sisterhood”. We’ll dive into the real conversations around perimenopause—covering common symptoms, challenges, and practical ways to navigate this transitional phase with more confidence and support. This event will be on September 18th, from 6-8pm at Rho Wellness.

This gathering is all about connection, laughter, and real conversation as we lean into one another and share our experiences through this season of transition. Whether you want to chat, simply listen, or just be in a room with other women who “get it,” you’ll leave feeling lighter, supported, and less alone.

I often get asked why I provide out-of-network physical therapy services.

The reason is simple: it allows me to give my patients the comprehensive, whole-body care they need. In-network PT can be excellent, and many patients achieve great results. But the reality is that the insurance model often limits the time and scope of treatment, which doesn’t always serve people with more complex or chronic issues.

Out-of-network care gives me the flexibility and time to dive into all contributing factors—movement patterns, stress, sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and more—so we can address the root cause, not just the symptoms.

The goal isn’t to get you to “good enough.” It’s to help you move toward your optimal health, defined by YOU.

They will always be my babies. I never in a million years would have understood the range of feelings one starts to feel when you become a mom. I didn’t even know that many feelings existed and how mixed things could feel.

For all my fellow mommas out there, I see you, I feel you, I am you. We share a deep, special connection with our kids because we grew them in our bellies. We literally shared cells with each other!!

High fives and hugs to all the moms out there doing their thing each and every day. No matter if your baby is in your belly, heading to kindergarten, starting college, or getting married, they will always be your babies in some way.
