Restorative yoga is a quiet, supportive and deeply nourishing practice. Restorative poses are done by being passively supported over props such as bolsters and blankets. Similar to Savasana or deep relaxation, restorative yoga is a meditative, receptive practice in which you are continually letting go of holding yourself up and allowing the earth to support you. Over time as you relax, you are able to release deeply held tension.
Rather that activating and stimulating the bodies muscular and energetic systems, restorative yoga invites us to release the inner holding of muscular, emotional and energetic bodies.
This is an opportunity to do less, not more in your practice, while offering yourself the healing benefits of a quiet mind and deeply relaxed body. Come join us!
Sue Miller has been teaching yoga in Western Loudoun for many years and we are delighted she is sharing her healing gifts with our yoga community at West Trail.
She is a certified Dahn Yoga Healer, which informs her teachings through working with our subtle bodies, the Koshas, along with Chakras, Pranayama, Body Tapping, Vibration and Chanting.
