We are proud to support Jill Heathcock, PT, MPT, PhD, who received the 2025 Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy Research Grant for the proposed study, 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵. Congratulations, Dr. Heathcock!

The Academy is proposing a bylaws revision for 2026 at the direction of APTA in order to stay in compliance with recent Association bylaws revisions. Website has been updated to include a copy of the bylaws revisions with comments.

Our current bylaws require that at least 20 members need to attend to allow for a vote to revise the bylaws.

Have a question about the bylaws? We'll be happy to help answer any and all questions.

We will be holding a Town Hall on Wednesday, April 22nd to vote to approve these revisions.

We had so many amazing poster and platform presentations at CSM last week!

Winner of Best Platform was Claire E. Child, DPT, MPH, PhD, Rachel Enyeart, PT, DPT, Farzana Mohamedali, SPT, Bridget F. Collins and Mary Beth Brown, PT, PhD with their platform titled "The Feasibility and Safety of ‘Lamfit,’ a Fully-Remote Digital Fitness Program for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis"

Winner of Best Poster was Pei-Tzu Wu, PT, PhD with her poster titled "Cardiac Rehabilitation Improves Survival after CABG: Identifying a Critical Threshold"
