Thank you to Segal Foundation for hosting Spotlight Africa, which took place, Sept 22-24th, alongside the United Nations General Assembly, bringing together a select group of their partners, fellows and funder friends, i.e. African leaders and philanthropists, to connect, inspire, and collaborate. It was such a powerful event.

On September 13, Dr. Kristin Casale, her husband Francis, and their daughter Grace hosted a fundraiser for Soft Power Health. Both Dr. Kristin and Grace have volunteered with Soft Power Health and plan to return. In the photo, Dr. Kristin is pictured with Dr. Jessie and longtime friend Jessica Goodwin. We are so grateful to the Casale family for hosting such a warm and meaningful event!

This Week at Soft Power Health
We’ve had a powerful week in the field—bringing the new R21 malaria vaccine to children, offering deworming and Vitamin A to boost their health, and sharing vital malaria education with families across rural Uganda.

Thank you to our amazing team and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we’re building stronger, healthier communities.

The USAID funding cuts are disproportionately hitting the poorest of the poor. This crisis was sudden and unforeseen: Please, if you can, help Soft Power Health step up to meet the challenge of covering the unexpected costs of necessary supplies and an increased patient load. As always, we are grateful for your ongoing support and partnership.

We cannot afford to turn a blind eye. We hope more people, step up to support life-saving organizations.

Urgent: A Threat to Global Health in Uganda
A recent article in The New York Times reports on devastating cuts to U.S. funding for global health programs, including those fighting malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV. These cuts will have dire consequences for millions, especially in Uganda, where organizations like Soft Power Health provide life-saving care to those who need it most. Many of our patients rely on these essential services for malaria treatment, maternal healthcare, and HIV prevention. Without critical funding, the fight against these diseases becomes even harder. Now, more than ever, we need to step up. We remain committed to serving our patients, but we need your support. Donate, spread awareness, and stand with us in protecting the health of Uganda’s most vulnerable.
