A MAN AND HIS TRACTOR: Sounds like a children's story but in fact it was real life Putnam Rotarian Robert Fournier who answered the call to service. Karen Osbrey asked her fellow Rotarian if he would help with some landscaping work in Rotary Park. Of course it had to rain but that didn't stop Bob from showing off his amazing tractor skills. He may not have moved Heaven but he moved lots of earth. The work is in preparation for Rotary Day of Service. On Saturday, May 18th, Rotary Clubs from all over CT, MA and RI will volunteer in their separate communities to Create Hope in the World. The Putnam Connecticut Rotary Club is revitalizing one of the gardens in Rotary Park and creating a new gravel garden. The project is funded in part with a grant from The Last Green Valley.

Bob Fournier and John Spratt of the Gilman and Valade Funeral Homes & Crematory spent the morning of Tuesday, May 3rd at Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale participating in their annual "Pre-prom Mock Drinking and Driving Accident Drill."
