Mark your calendars, our Cruise, BBQ, and Brew motorcycle and car cruise is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park!

Enjoy laps around the Speedway’s 1.7-mile road course track, followed by a delicious BBQ lunch and entertainment at the Thompson Raceway Restaurant & Banquet Hall.

Every day, our Nurturing Families Network team works alongside families to build strong, healthy foundations for children. We are honored to have their work recognized with a 2026 Community Champion Award from the Northeast Early Childhood Council.

Congratulations to all of this year's honorees, and thank you to NECC for recognizing our incredible team. We are grateful to be part of a community of dedicated partners making a lasting impact in the lives of children and families across our region.

From the first pour to last call, last week’s Guest Bartender Night at Marley’s Pub at Black Dog Bar & Grille was filled with energy, generosity, and a whole lot of fun. Thanks to our incredible guest bartending teams, donors, and supporters, it was another record-breaking night, raising $36,555 for the NECT Cancer Fund of DKH.

Thank you to our incredible bartending teams, including Dr. Greaser & The 50’s ONC Ladies, bankHometown, Gates Auto Group, SPIROL Suds Crew, Business Association POUR-fessionals, WHZ Strategic Wealth Advisors Liquid Assets, the DKH Leadership Team, and congratulations to the Linemaster Switch Corp. Tapmasters for raising the most tips this year.

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support this important cause, helping ensure access to cancer care for our families, friends, and neighbors in need. A special thank you to Craig Gates and the staff at Marley’s Pub and the Black Dog for their continued hospitality and support.

The free community baby shower is happening now at the Windham Community Center in Willimantic!

Open to all expectant and new families with infants up to six months old in eastern Connecticut. We have lots of vendors, helpful parenting resources, community programs, and support.

Our powerhouse guest bartender teams are ready to bring the energy for a fun night out, all for a great cause! All cash tips benefit the NECT Cancer Fund of DKH, which provides financial support to northeast Connecticut families, friends, and neighbors in need of critical cancer care services.

Last year was a record-breaking event, let's see if we can top that this year. We can’t wait to see you there!

Our current exhibit featuring Louise Pigott Art at the Ortho Group in Putnam will conclude at the end of next week.

Her vibrant work has added beauty and inspiration to the space, with a portion of proceeds from any artwork sales going to the Woman's Board of Day Kimball Hospital.

A new exhibit arrives Monday, March 30. Stay tuned for more details. 👀

Yesterday, Jenn LeDuc, Executive Director of Homecare & Hospice at Day Kimball Health at Home and Board Chair of the Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home, represented both organizations at Care at Home Day at The Capitol.

She was joined by Rachael Houle, Clinical Informatics Nurse for DKH at Home, along with healthcare leaders and legislators from across the state to advocate for legislation that directly impacts the patients and families we serve.

House Bill 5561 proposes increasing Medicaid reimbursement rates and removing barriers that can impact how care is delivered. These changes are critical to sustaining access to care so we can continue to meet people where they are and ensure they receive the care they need in the place they feel most comfortable.

We are grateful to Jenn and Rachael for representing DKH and helping elevate the voice of our patients, families, and care teams.
