Day Kimball Health is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Kyle Kramer has been included in the Hartford Business Journal’s 2025 Power 25 Health Care class, which identifies leaders who have had a significant impact on the industry and public health as chosen and ranked by the publication’s editorial team.

Since 2020, Kyle has led DKH through the financial and operational challenges facing small, independent hospitals. Most recently, advancing discussions with UCONN Health on a potential partnership and investing in key service areas, including cardiology, digestive health, and orthopedics. He has also remained committed to preserving essential services like Northeast Connecticut’s only birthing center.

Congratulations, Kyle, on this well-deserved recognition and for your dedication to the health of our rural communities.

Day Kimball Health was disappointed to learn of ProHealth Physicians’ decision to close its longstanding Putnam practice. The physicians who have been part of Putnam Medical Associates have been valued members of the Day Kimball and Northeast Connecticut medical community, and we hope they will consider continuing their work in partnership with Day Kimball.

While Day Kimball remained in regular communication with ProHealth regarding its lease on the hospital campus, their decision to close was unexpected. Day Kimball did not make any changes to the lease terms.

Our priority is to ensure patients have uninterrupted access to primary care. Day Kimball Medical Group welcomes any patients seeking to continue their care with us. Our existing and soon-to-arrive primary care providers are prepared to support individuals and families throughout Northeast Connecticut, with offices located across the region, ensuring convenient access for patients and families.

The 41st Annual Day Kimball Hospital (DKH) Centreville Bank Golf Classic, held at the Connecticut National Golf Club on Friday, Sept. 12, raised more than $125,000 with over 265 participants and volunteers in attendance. Net proceeds benefit DKH’s efforts to enhance critical patient care initiatives, with a focus on diagnostic imaging services.

It was an unforgettable night at the American Legion Post #13 Veterans Tribute & Guest Bartending Night, hosted at Marley’s Pub at the Black Dog Bar & Grille!

DKH’s incredible team of Veteran bartenders raised $1014.90 toward the evening’s total of $11,649 raised! These funds will directly support youth programs and Veterans in our community.
