So true!

It's freeing when we shift from a disorder-based model to a strength-based model in education, mental health, and parenting. That's why I use the child's social-emotional development & not simply the DSM diagnosis to make treatment suggestions & decisions.

Think about how hard it can be to “stay calm” in tough situations. If it’s hard for you, imagine how incredibly hard it is for your child.

Be gentle with yourself and patient with your kids. Like you, they’re still learning and doing the best they can. 🥰
