Hey everybody hope you are using this spring to get out doors and have some fun. Summer is just around the corner. 4th of July is coming up in about 8 weeks, the perfect amount of time for a round of the Hardkor Diet! Added two more members to Team Jankemeister! The holidays are over, let the training and fat shredding begin. My goal for the year is to reduce my body fat to 10%, this would cut my fat weight in half.

Going to start making appointments for the New Year! Send me a message of you want to change your diet and get the body you want. I plan to use thos coming year to take off another 25 pounds and refine my time in the gym to get the most out of my lifting time.

Tonight was 50 squats with 135 lbs, then 3 sets of 10 with 225, 10 sets of seated leg curl with 130 lbs or better, donkey calf raises with 135 lbs, seated calf extensions with 270 lbs super setted with 110 til failure, seated leg curls with 150 lbs 4 sets... Leg day is complete.

Sitting in the sauna now. Next head home for a balanced meal on the Hardkor Diet, Team Jankemeister style.

Ps today at work I passed up donuts all day. One of the safety meeting topics was diabetes awarness, perfect setting for donuts. Lol

Hey all,

Let's get fit for the holidays. Xmas cards, new years resolution come early, making room for turkey day now, ect. I am going to do a check in tonight and track progress up to Thanksgiving, only 4 weeks away. Then get in gear for a great winter of work!

It is so easy to make the wrong choice in food. Rachelle and I went on a 25 mile bike ride today and packed our protein powder, some fresh fruit, and whole wheat pancakes made at home. We stopped at an espresso stand for same coffee and to get some milk for our meal. Perfect meal and as a bonus the stand sells isagenix protein bars.

There was a couple behind us that were looking over the menus and said ohh look muffin tops, cookies, and dessert bars. I told them there is so some great protein bars, the look was priceless as the idea caused great disgust.

The next group of bikers came up and ordered milk shakes and potato chips.

I thought it was funny to ride so hard for health and throw it away on junk food. I told Rachelle I was going to post about it and asked "people like anendotes right?" She responded "not as much as potato chips"....

After a hard chest workout and 20 minutes of cardio, I am refueling with 540 grams of red potatoes, 5 ounces of chicken, and homemade cucumber salad with veggiea from our garden. This is what it takes to build muscle and burn fat. Complex carbohydrates will replenish the glycogen stores in the muscles to maintain stored energy for the next big push.

As I was making toast one day I had a person tell me "thats a lot of carbs, I quit eating bread and carbs and I lost 5 pounds". I responded with "thats great, I have lost 25 pounds eating bread, oatmeal, potatoes, pasta, and lots of rice. But whatever works for you."

Carbs have been beat up in todays fad diet trends. I believe sugary treats and complex carbs get grouped together, but the bodies hormonal response is totally different between the two. Here is some great reading about carbs.

This is what an ultrasound scan of a muscle group looks like. The tracking line shows the measurements taken from the skins' surface down to the interface between the subcutaneous fat and the muscle. These scans show you the thickness of the fat layer, a deeper scan will also show the muscle thickness down to bone. The fat layer thicknesses are used to determine a persons' lean body mass and is then used to calculate the macro-nutrients needed to burn fat and build or maintain lean muscle.

These scans put me at around 18% body fat, down from 26% at the start of the year. I am at 215 lbs of lean mass, and the rest is fat....

The first scan is a side scan from the ribs to the hip, the second is a scan of the thigh from mid thigh down to the top of the knee.

Finally getting a page started for Team Jankemeister Nutrition. This page is intended to be a place to discuss nutrition, exercise, weight training, and weight loss. I am excited to start a new venture as an associate to the "Hardkor Diet" and the "Eat To Lose Fat" program. I want to help fellow friends, athletes, and RIDERS to achieve fitness goals and life long habits that will shape the way you eat, diet, and fuel your body. Spread this page to your friends and to the dirt bike riding community. Just getting started and cannot wait to share great information and see great progress.
