In the healthcare field, capturing moments with our caregivers and clients in their homes isn't always feasible. These are often sensitive and personal environments, and requesting to take a photo can feel intrusive. However, on occasion, we are fortunate enough to obtain a photograph that serves as a cherished reminder of the remarkable dedication and compassion demonstrated by our incredible caregiving team.

We also wanted to share a few memorable moments captured earlier this year, highlighting the collaborative spirit and dedication within our organization.

What a day it turned out to be! The Puyallup Senior Center's 2nd Annual Spring Into Health Care, held on April 19th, 2025, was truly a wonderful experience for everyone involved. 💖 We're incredibly grateful to Angela, owner and founder of Sunshine Care Services, who graciously served as our MC and helped lead the planning committee, making sure everything ran smoothly. Despite the initial rain, the day blossomed into sunshine, much like the valuable information shared. We owe a huge thank you to every volunteer and vendor who contributed their time and effort to help us create such a meaningful experience. With three inspiring speakers and over 20 fantastic vendors, we aimed to empower families, seniors, and community members with health knowledge, and we were so happy to see many smiles from amazing raffle giveaways. We truly hope this annual gathering continues to be an essential part of Puyallup's vibrant community for years to come!

Health Care Providers Council of Pierce County raised over $80,000 to help our local seniors in the community. With over 200 members contributions, local city representatives from each senior center received a $2,000 check for their center. At our annual Christmas Party, Sunshine Care Services was so happy our partner Home Care Agency Visiting Angels of Tacoma won our raffle basket. Thank you to all the dedicated individuals that constantly serve and volunteer their time for this cause.

🩷Breast Cancer Awareness Month🩷

This morning at the monthly Health Care Providers Council of Pierce County morning meeting.



-Women between 40 and 44 have the option to start screening with a mammogram every year.
-Women 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year.
-Women 55 and older can switch to a mammogram every other year, or they can choose to continue yearly mammograms. Screening should continue as long as a woman is in good health and is expected to live at least 10 more years.
