✨ Meet Lilah ✨
She’s been coming to therapy at Kids at Play for 8 years, and to say she’s a fan favorite is an understatement. 💛 Lilah has autosomal recessive cutis laxa with a PYCR1 gene mutation, but that’s never defined her. What has defined her is her infectious spirit, resilience, and the joy she brings to every room.We’re honored to be part of her story, and even more honored to share a glimpse of it with you today. 🫶 Watch the full video to see why Lilah holds such a special place in all of our hearts.

Is It Sensory Overload or Under-Responsiveness?

Sensory processing can look very different from person to person. Some kids are easily overwhelmed by their environment, while others don’t seem to notice it at all. Understanding these signs helps us support students better!
👂 Over-Responsive? Sensitive to sound, touch, or movement.
🦻 Under-Responsive? Needs extra input, seems unaware of surroundings.

Join us at Kids at Play Therapy as a volunteer! You’ll get the chance to support therapists and interact with children in fun, community-based settings like the pool, playground, and in clinic. It’s a great opportunity to learn, connect, and make an impact 💙
