Sure they have elbows, but do they know how to use them? 🫣

I will never forget the time I booked a massage at a new local “spa” and instead of the therapeutic, deep tissue massage I asked for, I got what felt like a deep skeletal massage 🥴 ouch!

As a newer massage therapist at the time, I couldn’t understand how they had no idea about bony landmarks, muscular origins & insertions, endangerment sites or even proper modalities. 🤯

Now, I know that unfortunately there are many phony’s out there giving our industry a bad name because they were never trained or licensed properly. 😡

When you visit MELT you can rest assured that all of our therapists hold a professional massage license through the state of Washington. This means they are trained in anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, pathology, ethics AND that they have passed the state boards! In fact, WA has some of the most rigorous standards in comparison to other states.

So to answer our question about elbows, yes!!! 💪 When it comes to self care you deserve the best. Make it a MELT massage 🖤
