We said goodbye to our loyal little buddy today. He's been a constant in my life for 16 years and his loss is immeasurable. We feel a bit lost and I'm not sure how to move forward, but we know that we gave him the best dang weekend before we sent him to frolic through the endless mountains beyond.

Christmas decorations are finally packed away so this corner has been returned to every day living room style. It's both sad and invigorating at the same time. I miss the soft glow of the Christmas lights the most. Something about that little twinkle soothes the soul in a way that nothing else can ✨

I tend to change things around throughout the house in these early months of the year. I think it's just my way of keeping winter blues at bay. Where my northeast seasonal depression peeps at 🙋‍♀️? What do you do to keep your sanity through the grey winter months?

Change is necessary. Change is exciting. Change is inevitable.
We must change and grow and expand. We cannot stay as we always were. We must push forward into the unknown to truly find our way in this world. We must find ourselves and embrace every version of her.
2023 was a year of reflection and repair. 2024 will be a year of action and advancement.
I'm not sure what all of this means for this page, my art, my life and my path; but, I do know that I will be focusing on creating a life of fitness, peace and reconnecting with people. My hope is that this will bring the best version of my creativity, my self and my energy.
The pandemic years tore me up and spit me out. I very much lost who I am. I am looking forward to meeting each and every version of myself as I challenge myself like never before in 2024 (yes, making that rhyme brought me immense joy 🤣).

This year I have been struggling to feel the holiday spirit as I once did and it makes me sad...but, I am grateful that it is all I have to worry about this holiday season. The world is in turmoil. There is so much hate. So much fighting. It's time to stop. It's time for peace. Time for love. Time for healing. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanza or Diwali or Bodhi Day or any other celebration of peace and reflection or no holiday at all I hope that we all take this season to heart and begin to find our way to a new path. A path of mutual respect, love, peace, charity, understanding and compassion. We can do better for our world 🌎✌️🖤
