New Hope Counseling Center

New Hope Counseling Center Professional, compassionate counseling for individuals, couples, and families—offered in person in Quarryville or online across PA. By appointment only.

Sliding-scale fees and superbills available. Faith-integrated when welcomed. New Hope Counseling Center provides compassionate, professional counseling that brings hope, healing, and restoration. For more than 25 years, our licensed counselors have walked alongside children (ages 6+), adults, couples, and families across South Central Pennsylvania as they navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. We believe counseling should be accessible to everyone. We offer in-person and virtual sessions, a sliding-scale fee structure, and never turn anyone away due to financial need. Nearly 70% of those we serve receive reduced-cost counseling through our Hope Chest Fund. The Counseling Center is a core community service of New Hope Community Life Ministry, supported in part by our nonprofit thrift store, the Community Closet, and community partners who make affordable care possible. Grounded in compassion and hope, we also welcome the thoughtful integration of faith when invited, honoring each person’s story, values, and journey toward healing.

As we pause at the close of the year, we’re filled with gratitude.

We’re deeply thankful for partners like High Foundation, whose support helped make our building renovation possible—creating safe, welcoming spaces where healing conversations can happen every day.

We’re honored to walk into a new year supported by a community that believes in hope, restoration, and care. Thank you for investing in this work and the people it serves. 💙

As this year comes to a close, we’re pausing—together—in gratitude.

Community is built in quiet ways: showing up, listening well, and walking alongside one another when life feels heavy or uncertain.

Tonight, we’re grateful for every act of care, every prayer, every moment of presence that has shaped this year.

As we look ahead, we do so with hope—not because the work is finished, but because we continue to join God in the work He has already begun and is still unfolding.

Wishing you a gentle close to the year and peace as a new one begins. 💙

The Hope of Christmas
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” – John 1:14 (NIV)

Today we celebrate the wonder of a God who came near – taking on skin, walking our roads, sharing fully in the human story.

Christ with us.
Christ in us.
Christ before us.

And for those who are grieving today: we see you. We see the loss, the longing, the memories stirred by this season. You are not alone. God’s presence is gentle and near.

From all of us at New Hope Community Life Ministry, we wish you a Christmas filled with peace, tenderness, and hope – however quietly or boldly it has arrived!

✨ Merry Christmas ✨

Today we want to pause and celebrate a part of New Hope that makes so much of our counseling work possible—our incredible Community Closet volunteers.

Yesterday, our Community Closet volunteers gathered for a beautiful appreciation breakfast at Black Rock Retreat Center, and we were reminded again of the unique community God has formed here. Their kindness, presence, and servant-hearted joy create more than a successful thrift store… they help shape the heartbeat of New Hope.

Because of their faithful service, we are able to offer counseling scholarships to individuals and families who might otherwise be unable to access care. Their work behind the scenes creates open doors for healing, restoration, and hope.

We’re grateful for the way God is at work in and through people—how He weaves together volunteers, staff, donors, counselors, and community partners to make the work of healing and hope possible.

One mission. Many expressions. All rooted in love.
Please join us in celebrating our New Hope Community Closet team today! 💙

From our Board and staff at New Hope…

As we pause for Thanksgiving, we want to express deep gratitude for each member of our community—
• those who entrust us with their healing journey,
• those who encourage and pray for our work,
• the volunteers who serve with compassion,
• and the partners whose generosity opens doors for individuals and families seeking care.

Walking alongside this community is a true honor.
Because of you, hope continues to grow and lives continue to be restored.

Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with blessing, peace,
and a renewed sense of hope. 🩵

As the days grow shorter and the air turns colder, it’s easy to feel the weight of the season. Fewer daylight hours and less connection can quietly affect our mental health.

Small gestures—a quick text, a warm drink shared, or a kind check-in:
☕ “Want to grab a warm drink sometime?”
💬 “How are you really doing?”
💌 “Thinking of you.”
…can mean the world to someone who’s quietly struggling.

If the winter blues feel heavier than usual, you don’t have to face them alone. Our counselors are here to listen and walk with you through every season. 💙

🌿 Faithful Give 2025 begins today!

Over the next three days, our community is coming together through the Faithful Give to support local faith-based nonprofits that are helping hope rise across Lancaster County.

At New Hope, every gift helps make counseling, school-based support, and family care more accessible — so no one has to walk through crisis or healing alone.

Together, we’re nurturing a community of hope — one story, one family, one act of generosity at a time.
