So, a patient I've known for some time knew Bubba Smith and knows I'm a enthusiastic Michigan State alumni. He says he has 2 of these and thought I might appreciate one. I thought that was really awesome. Not that I expect gifts from my patients but I thought it was really cool of him. Now, where to put it in my house?

Get your vaccine!

I was somewhat skeptical about the vaccines, concerned they may have been rushed, were they safe, etc.. I did review the medical literature specifically on the mRNA vaccines which are the Pfizer and Moderna. The vaccine is quite safe. Could it make you somewhat sick? Yes. If you have a reaction to the vaccine it's most likely from the preservative and not the vaccine itself. I had about a day of muscle soreness after each of my two shots.

In the end, is the vaccine safer than contracting Covid-19? ABSOLUTELY.

I could explain more and if there are those that want more detail I can do so. I'm a surgeon not an Infectious Disease specialist so I will only share what I've been able to research on this.

Lastly if you want the vaccine but currently don't have access to it hang tough, your time will come and we are all trying to work through this mess.
