Sometimes a lot of the dysfunction we have in our body can be solved by addressing the natural elements and variables our body needs. So many of us are out of balance bc our lives are so busy that the natural systems and factors that make us well get neglected. Addressing these variables first is so important before you let your doctors try to place a diagnosis on you without having comprehensively assessed your lifestyle variables.

Sometimes the last thing our body needs is a ph*rma meds to quell symptoms on a system that just needs its natural elements attended to!

Do your research folks! And listen to your body!

In orthopedic Physio, it’s very important for us to be able to assess thoroughly a pain or a problem that a client comes to us with. It usually presents in the form of a chief complaint or concern that is limiting the client from certain activities or functions that they love. By providing an accurate assessment after a thorough history has been taken, this can help us strategically target the root cause of their problem which usually is related to some type of painful or abnormal movement.

This test, treat, retest strategy helps us to hone in on the root cause of the problem. By continually integrating this, and trying to understand the problem thoroughly, we can get to the root cause of the problem and create a cure for the problem in a skilled plan of care.

If this sounds like something that your Physio missed and you’re interested in specifics around your presentation. Please feel free to shoot me a DM.

💪📚 Finding the Right Exercise Dosage for You! 💯

Exercise dosage is not a “one size fits all” approach. It varies for every individual and patient based on several factors. Here are some key considerations when manipulating exercise dosage:

1️⃣ Client’s History: Understanding your fitness journey and any previous injuries helps tailor the exercise program to your needs.

2️⃣ Client’s Pain: Addressing any discomfort or limitations ensures a safe and effective workout routine.

3️⃣ Client’s Goals: Identifying your objectives (e.g., mental health, strength improvement, performance enhancement, injury prevention) helps customize the exercise plan.

4️⃣ Client’s Motivation: Discovering what inspires and drives you keeps you engaged and committed to your fitness journey.

5️⃣ Intention and Desired Outcomes: Defining the purpose behind your exercise regimen helps optimize results for your specific needs.

Exercise serves a wide range of purposes and can be manipulated accordingly. It’s crucial to consider all variables to optimize your fitness journey. For more information, feel free to reach out to our expert team at our link in bio.

🌟 Why most doctors and PTs will miss the root cause of your pain problem 🌟

🔎 We see the following trends:
1️⃣ Most people go to their family practice doctor when they have a pain problem.
2️⃣ Many trust that their physician will know how to treat musculoskeletal pain comprehensively
3️⃣ Approximately 25 to 30% of MD office visits are from musculoskeletal pain.
4️⃣ An estimated 47% of the world population has a musculoskeletal pain problem.
5️⃣ Almost half of American medical schools do not have a curriculum to address musculoskeletal problems.
6️⃣ In other medical schools, students only get a limited amount of time studying the musculoskeletal system.
7️⃣ Most traditional physical therapy clinics have a numbers-based policy, resulting in not enough time to care for the patient comprehensively.
8️⃣ Traditional physical therapy often yields lackluster results due to limited time and care from the therapist.

💡 What do we need to do? Seek out specialized physical therapists who have dedicated time and education to get to the root cause of your pain problem. These therapists have clinics set up specifically to allow for the time and attention needed to solve complex orthopedic problems.

✨ We are excited to present this workshop today where you can understand your options and receive a solution-based approach to targeting your muscular pain. 🔊 You need to hear this... 🔊

I’ve been seeing a lot of spine and neck patients with a similar presentation in their joint restrictions, but different symptoms. 📋

There’s a pattern I’ve picked up on that shows a blend of high cervical and low cervical restrictions, creating symptoms like:

1️⃣ Headaches that are hard to relieve, presenting above the eye.
2️⃣ Tension and neck pain.
3️⃣ Tension in the neck with radiating discomfort.
4️⃣ vertigo that comes from the neck

But here’s the good news! 🌟

All these presentations have been solved, and my patients are doing much better now. How did we do it? 🤔

We targeted their upper neck and lower neck joint restrictions, and provided muscular reeducation around the area. This helped them be more aware of which muscles to activate and made a huge difference. 💪

We also provided education around modifications of behavior that could perpetuate their symptoms.

If you or your loved ones are dealing with similar issues, don’t hesitate to shoot me a DM. 📩 I’m here to answer any questions you have!

🚨 Attention all whiplash warriors! 🚑💪

📣 We want to give a shout out to everyone who has experienced whiplash from a car accident, fall, or skiing mishap. We understand your concerns and the symptoms you may be experiencing, and we’re here to help! 🤝❤️

💡 This post aims to shed light on the importance of proper assessment and intervention for whiplash-related neck impairments. It’s crucial to address these issues to alleviate symptoms and promote recovery. 🌟

🙌 Whiplash can leave a lasting impact, with symptoms that may emerge later on. These can include neck pain, stiffness, headaches, tension, limited range of motion, vertigo, motion sensitivity, and even ringing in the ears in some cases. 🤕😫

💡 By understanding that whiplash can affect the joints, tissues, structures, and nervous system of the neck, as well as the coordination of muscles and their communication with the ocular and vestibular systems, we can grasp the complexity of symptoms that may arise. 🧠💡

⚠️ If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s essential to seek accurate assessment and treatment. One common issue is neck weakness, which can lead to excessive strain in other areas of the neck and head, exacerbating symptoms. 💪💥

📸 This image illustrates an important starting point for training the neck in cases of whiplash-associated disorders and symptoms. Before diving into exercises, it’s crucial to gently improve neck range of motion by targeting tight joint structures and enhancing coordination with the ocular system. 👀💪

💌 If any of this resonates with you or if you’d like to learn more, don’t hesitate to shoot us a message. We’re here to support you on your journey to recovery and well-being. 🌟💙

Is my low back pain sciatica? 🤔🎯

🌟 Shoutout to all the back pain warriors! Whether you’ve conquered it or still struggling, you’re not alone. 💪

🔍 Answer: No, low back pain is not always sciatica. While low back pain is common (86% of the population), it usually stays localized to the low back. Sciatica refers to pain that radiates down the leg, often starting in the backside of the leg and possibly extending to the calf or foot.

⚠️ Important Distinction: Low back pain can progress into sciatica if left unmanaged and aggravated. However, it’s crucial to understand that low back pain and sciatica are separate conditions.

⚡️ Referred Pain: Leg pain can be referred from various structures in the back, such as joints, discs, or muscles. This referred pain is different from sciatic pain and tends to be less severe.

✨ Managing Low Back Pain: The best way to handle low back pain is to stay active and keep moving, making appropriate modifications as needed. In many cases, low back pain resolves on its own. However, if your symptoms persist and you can’t regain control, it’s important to seek professional advice from a trusted physiotherapist.

🌟 The Importance of Monitoring Clinical Findings 🌟

🔍 In our journey towards optimal health and well-being, it is crucial to emphasize the significance of monitoring clinical findings. Particularly in the cervical spine, certain indicators can shed light on potential dysfunctions that may affect the upper extremities, including the shoulders, wrists, and hands. Symptoms such as pain, burning, numbness, and tingling can serve as red flags, urging us to take action. 😖🔥🤕

🔹 Lack of extension and rotation in the cervical spine, combined with these signs and symptoms in the upper extremities, can be indicative of underlying cervical dysfunction. These dysfunctions have the potential to perpetuate problems into the arms, whether it’s one arm or both. Recognizing these patterns is essential for developing a comprehensive approach and treatment plan that addresses all findings. 🔄🚩🖐️✌️🖐️

📝 When seeking treatment, it is imperative for clinicians to continuously monitor range of motion and the presence of symptoms in the extremities. This holistic approach allows for a thorough assessment and the creation of a strategic plan to facilitate healing over time. A comprehensive roadmap, grounded in a comprehensive assessment, is key to achieving goals and ultimately healing ourselves. 🔎📈🗺️💪✨

🌿 Staying healthy and nurturing our well-being is a lifelong commitment. Understanding the importance of being independent in self-care is paramount. We have the power to take charge of our own healing journey and seek natural solutions. If you are interested in healing yourself naturally and finding a comprehensive solution to your problems, we invite you to take action. 🙌💆‍♀️🌱🌟

💚 Together, let’s embark on a path of self-discovery, empowerment, and holistic healing. Your well-being is within reach, and we are here to support you every step of the way. 💚🚀🌈

📢 Exciting News from Leisure World! 🌟

Yesterday, we hosted a highly successful shoulder pain workshop that was nothing short of remarkable! The event was a packed house, filled with vibrant participants who were eager to learn about natural healing and effective interventions for shoulder pain.

Throughout the workshop, we covered a wide range of topics, including insightful presentations, engaging discussions, patient treatments, and exercises with live demonstrations. 📚💬💆‍♂️💪

The enthusiasm and positive feedback from the attendees were overwhelming. In fact, they were so thrilled with the workshop that they requested another session specifically tailored to Pickleball and racquet sports. 🙌🎾

One of the key takeaways from the workshop was the importance of therapeutic exercises in treating shoulder pain, rather than simply focusing on strengthening the shoulder. Participants left with a newfound understanding of how to differentiate between pain in the shoulder and pain originating from the neck, enabling them to address the root cause effectively. 🧠💪🤔

Due to popular demand, we are thrilled to announce that we will be returning to Leisure World for another workshop soon. We are excited to continue empowering individuals to take control of their shoulder health naturally. 💙💪

🌟✨ The Power of Educating Yourself and Listening to Your Body ✨🌟

Today, I want to talk about the importance of educating ourselves about our bodies and truly listening to what they're trying to tell us. It's a powerful journey that can lead us to a greater understanding of our symptoms and pave the way for a healthier, more fulfilling life. 🧠💪🏼

When we experience pain or symptoms, it's our body's way of communicating with us. It's a signal that something might not be right, and it's our responsibility to pay attention and take action. By seeking a deeper understanding of our symptoms, we can take the appropriate measures to address them quickly, preventing any progression of orthopedic or neural issues. 🚨⏰

Education is key. Educating ourselves about our symptoms, their causes, and potential treatments empowers us to make informed decisions about our health. It allows us to advocate for ourselves and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to find the best solutions. By understanding the diagnosis and prognosis, we can take proactive steps to manage our symptoms and maintain good musculoskeletal health. 📚🔍💡

Staying active is another crucial aspect of this journey. Movement is medicine, and by staying active within our limits, we can support our bodies in their healing process. But it's equally essential to listen to our bodies and make appropriate modifications when needed. Pushing through symptoms might seem tempting, but it can lead to further complications and delays in recovery. So let's tune in, respect our body's signals, and adapt our activities accordingly. 🏋️‍♀️🤸‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Taking timely interventions is vital. Seeking help and guidance from healthcare professionals, therapists, or trainers who specialize in musculoskeletal health can make a significant difference. They can provide personalized strategies, exercises, and treatments to address our symptoms effectively. Together, we can create a plan that keeps us active, minimizes pain, and promotes optimal health. 💪🏽🩹💊
