The seasons change… and so do we.
When my kids first left the nest, I remember the quiet feeling deafening, the days feeling strangely long, and the reality of being an empty nester hitting hard. It was scary, overwhelming, and sometimes downright gut-wrenching.
But here’s what I’ve learned after living in this season for a bit now—there is so much joy and freedom waiting on the other side of that initial ache. We get to rediscover ourselves—not as we were before kids, but as the women we’ve grown into through the journey. Stronger. Wiser. More confident in our own skin.
Yes, it’s bittersweet to watch our kids go, but it’s also exhilarating to watch ourselves grow. To watvh THEM grow, to create new, grown relationships with them. This is the time to dream new dreams, chase old passions, and embrace who we are now—individually, and unapologetically.
To my friends just entering this season: you’ve got this. And I promise—there’s magic here, too.
