Scar tissue can create more than just surface changes. It may contribute to tightness, restriction, altered movement patterns, numbness, pulling sensations, and chronic discomfort long after an injury or surgery has healed.
At AcYou Health, Dr. Ava uses procaine-based neural therapy techniques to help calm irritated tissue, improve circulation, support nervous system communication, and encourage healthier tissue mobility and healing responses.
This approach is commonly used to support: • Scar sensitivity or pulling
• Old injuries or surgical sites
• Restricted movement
• Chronic tension patterns
• Nervous system irritation
• Areas that “never healed quite right”
The goal is not simply masking symptoms — it’s helping the tissue and nervous system communicate more effectively again so the body can heal more efficiently.

Some days the workout is serious.
Some days your workout partner turns back extensions into stand-up comedy. 😂
Wes didn’t feel 100% today, but he still showed up anyway.
And honestly, that matters more than having the “perfect” workout.
Movement doesn’t always need to be intense.
Sometimes consistency looks like laughing through the reps and doing what you can.
At acyouhealth.com we’re big believers in building a body that supports your life — one imperfect workout at a time.

Most people only train their core for aesthetics.
But your core impacts posture, balance, back pain, stability, breathing, and how your body moves every single day.
Strong core = better support for the entire body.
Longevity is built through consistency, stability, and movement that actually supports real life.

Shoulder pain isn’t always just a muscle problem.
A lot of chronic pain patterns involve inflammation, poor circulation, tissue breakdown, and reduced recovery capacity over time.
In this video, Dr. Ava from AcYou Health demonstrates Prolozone therapy — a regenerative treatment designed to support healing, improve circulation, and help the body recover more efficiently.
This approach is commonly used alongside therapies like acupuncture, Tui Na, movement therapy, and nervous system support to help patients move and function better naturally.

Most people think health has to look serious all the time.
But honestly? Consistency matters more than perfection.

Wes is over here building strength, protecting longevity, and still managing to be an absolute goofball in the middle of back day. 😂

Because real health isn’t just about grinding yourself into the ground.
It’s about building a body that’s strong enough to support your life… and enjoying the process while you’re doing it.

Movement. Strength. Laughter. Nervous system balance.
That all matters more than people realize.

You ever eat a meal and suddenly feel like your brain completely shut down after?
Not just “full” … I mean exhausted, foggy, craving sugar, needing caffeine, or wanting to lay down immediately.
That “food coma” feeling usually isn’t random.
In clinic, this is something I see all the time with people dealing with blood sugar dysregulation, poor digestion, stress overload, inflammation, or nervous system imbalance. Your body may not be processing food as efficiently as it used to — especially when stress, poor sleep, and inconsistent eating start stacking together.
In this short video, I break down:
• why food comas happen
• what your body may actually be telling you
• the connection between blood sugar, digestion, and energy
• simple ways to support better energy after meals
Your body isn’t trying to punish you.
It’s communicating.
Reflective question:
Are you listening to your body’s signals… or just pushing through them with more caffeine?

“You’re treating the pain… but your body is trying to tell a bigger story.”

One of the biggest misconceptions about acupuncture is that we’re just putting needles where it hurts.

But acupuncture doesn’t work like trigger point therapy.

Yes, muscles matter.
Yes, tension matters.
But pain is rarely happening in isolation.

You can have:
• shoulder pain from chronic stress
• migraines connected to digestion
• back pain worsened by inflammation
• fatigue tied to nervous system dysregulation
• tension amplified by poor sleep or hormone imbalance

This is why two people can walk into clinic with the exact same symptom… and need completely different treatments.

Because the root cause is different.

Trigger point therapy focuses on the painful spot.
Acupuncture looks at the whole system.

To every mom, fur baby mama, bonus mom, grandmother, and caretaker out there… Happy Mother’s Day. 🌿
To the women who nurture, protect, guide, sacrifice, heal, support, and keep showing up even when they’re exhausted — this day is for you too.
Motherhood doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes it’s raising children. Sometimes it’s caring for animals. Sometimes it’s holding families, patients, parents, or loved ones together behind the scenes.
The world runs on the energy of women who care deeply.
Today, I hope you take a moment to slow down, breathe, and recognize how much of yourself you give to others every single day.
You deserve care too. 🤍
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at AcYou Health 🌸

Most people look at this and think it’s just heat therapy.
But this is one of the oldest ways we help wake the body back up when healing has stalled.
I start with rice grain moxa directly over areas of pain and injury to stimulate circulation, tissue repair, and recovery at the source. Then I use smokeless moxa along the liver channel to support the body’s ability to move inflammation, process stress, and repair more efficiently.
What’s interesting is how many people don’t realize their body has lost its ability to recover well until small things start hitting harder—pain lasts longer, inflammation lingers, energy crashes faster, and healing slows down.
Sometimes the problem isn’t that your body is broken.
It’s that the systems responsible for recovery have become overloaded, stagnant, or depleted.
This is why therapies like moxa have lasted for thousands of years.
Because sometimes the body doesn’t need more force.
It needs warmth, circulation, and support in the right places.

A lot of chronic pain isn’t just about “tight muscles.”
It’s compensation, guarding patterns, restricted circulation, inflammation, and a nervous system that’s been stuck in protection mode for too long.
In this session, I’m combining cupping therapy with trigger point release to help restore movement, improve circulation, decrease muscular tension, and support the body’s natural healing response.
Cupping helps decompress tissue and improve blood flow, while trigger point work targets areas of restriction that can refer pain into completely different parts of the body.
This is one of the reasons we focus on treating patterns — not just symptoms.
At AcYou Health, our goal is to help the body move better, recover better, and function better through a combination of ancient medicine and modern regenerative therapies.
