Dear Patients and Families,
It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that after nearly 50 wonderful years of practicing medicine in Queens, our office will be permanently closing on August 31, 2025. This decision was not made lightly. We’ve had the honor of watching your little ones grow within these walls and have created lasting memories that will always hold a special place in our hearts.
The good news is that while this office location is closing, there are three nearby Allied sister offices available to continue your care: Allied Physicians Bayside Pediatrics, located just down the road on Bell Boulevard, Wellcare Pediatrics in Whitestone, and MDs4Kids in Great Neck. Additionally, Dr. Hogan and Dr. Kahan will continue seeing patients several days a week at Allied Pediatrics of Jericho!
Dr. Capilupi and Dr. Millington-Capilupi will be retiring, and we wish them all the happiness in this next chapter of their lives.

If your child is diagnosed with coxsackievirus, the good news is it typically resolves on its own within 7–10 days. In the meantime, here’s how to support recovery at home:

🧡 Popsicles are your best friend – They soothe sore throats AND keep kids hydrated.
🧡 All the naps, extra rest for recovery.
🧡 Keep food gentle! Think soft and bland: oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce, plain ice cream
🧡 Wash those hands! The virus spreads easily, especially in households with more than one little human.

Call your pediatrician if your child isn’t drinking, has a persistent high fever, or seems overly lethargic. Trust your instincts, you know your child best and we’re here to help if something feels off.
