We envisioned this as only a dream 16 years ago, and now we are experiencing the reality!! We are exceptionally fortunate and blessed to have been able to provide our son with the capability to drive without adaptation, made possible by limb lengthening surgeries he underwent over the last decade, together with the generosity of many supporters …… Achondroplasia - dwarfism is associated with severe reach limitations and a multitude of other health and bone-related issues. .. We are deeply grateful for our blessings!💜

Last night’s reading of xrays allowed him to walk unassisted after a 9 week recovery from a complete break at the distal femur to realign the knee on the right leg…

This was his first major achievement since putting 2 feet on the ground … Only a parent knows this feeling … the last of 4 children to get a drivers permit … NO ADAPTION to drive a car was only a dream 16 yrs ago …

when we ventured out on this path 10 yrs ago to accomplish height to be independently able, we couldn’t imagine THIS … I never felt my heart, so overwhelmed with joy and happiness for HIM …

It has been one long sacrificial journey, and I am proud of him for pushing through it because lord knows it “wasn’t” easy … he wants a Tesla just like Dr. Paley … if I know his determination, he will get his heart’s desire… we love you Kory💜

Last night Kory was given the ok to ditch all assistive devices and begin walking as tolerated … xrays in 30 days, hopefully to allow full activity…
Today we celebrate 10 years of this amazing journey … sacrifices were made and accomplishments were achieved … progress in medical science, and highly skilled surgeons and rehabilitative staff made it all possible for my son to grow beyond 4 feet … now standing at an amazing 5’6.5” plus and still growing … thank you for your continued support as he journeys on with the daily injection Voxzogo, to allow him further growth over the next year or more💜

In 2015 it started with Miss Dayle, and here we are at the finish line with Miss Dayle … this is hard for us to say goodbye but I can only imagine how it feels for her as she has had to say goodbye to so many children after years of encouraging them, pushing them thru some difficult times and walking their journey sharing in sad, happy, hard and rewarding times! 🫶💜🫶
