Supervising Registered Nurse

We are looking for an energetic Registered Nurse to become Greater Adirondack Home Aides next great Nurse. GAHA has been operating in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties for 60 years.

This position has a flexible schedule or remote possibilities depending on the situation. Working on site would include documentation of medical records, review of activity records and other duties as assigned.

The right candidate would be involved in case load management, completing timely assessments, communicating with PCAs and HHAs, and would assist with orientation of PCA's and HHAs. The Registered Nurse would properly complete all required documentation to comply with Department of Health regulation.

2 years of nursing experience with 1 year of Home Health experience is preferred.

Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and dental insurance.

Pay Rates for Home Health Aides has been increased to $18.50 and Care Aides and Personal Assistants to $18.10 starting January 1, 2025. Pay will continue to go up next year. MEMBER NEWS: Greater Adirondack Home Aides celebrates 60 years of Home Health Services

Greater Adirondack Home Aides (GAHA) is a non-profit agency founded in 1965 by community members in Glens Falls to provide trained caregivers for Warren County. Starting with 12 homemakers, the agency quickly grew, adding a supervising nurse in 1974 and becoming one of the first in New York State to offer approved training.

Over the decades, GAHA expanded services to Washington and Saratoga Counties.

In our 60th year of service, our Licensed Home Care Services Agency continues to provide home care for our neighbors with our team of RN-supervised aides.

As budget issues with New York State have created significant financial challenges for a small independent organization like ours, we are committed to maintaining quality services and expanding opportunities for those less fortunate.

GAHA continues to be a resource and support to our community. We greatly appreciate community support as we work towards another 60 years in our community.

Pay Rates for Home Health Aides has been increased to $18.20 and Care Aides and Personal Assistants to $17.55 starting January 1, 2024. Pay will continue to go up over the next two years. By 2026 HHA's will be making a minimum of $19.30. PCA and PA positions will be paying $18.65. Greater Adirondack Home Aides is a small, locally founded, and operated nonprofit company licensed by the State of New York to provide Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, and Fiscal Intermediary Services throughout Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties.
Greater Adirondack Home Aides was organized in 1965 by citizens in Glens Falls who saw a need to help families during times of illness and stress. Volunteers formed a Board of Directors who incorporated as the Warren County Homemaker Service. They hired a group of 12 women to fill their first assignments in 1966. The agency's reputation for high standards continued as we grew to meet the demand for health care services at home. We changed our name as we expanded our service area to include Washington and Saratoga Counties. At Greater Adirondack Home Aides are proud of our history as the first local home health aide company. We have maintained a strong commitment to those in need as we continue to offer quality, compassionate service to local citizens.
