What began as a leap of faith months ago has grown into a journey of grit, growth, and purpose. Beginning in February of this year, these students have poured themselves into learning life-saving skills, supported by Lead Instructor J. Tims and a passionate instructional team that believed in their potential every step of the way.
Under the guidance of Lead Instructor Tims, with assistance from CIC Intern T. Ballo, these students studied such critical areas such as pharmacology, bleeding control, management of medical and trauma emergencies, emergency operations, and specialized operational procedures. Mastery of each module was assessed through module exams, building towards the final course examination.
Beyond the classroom, these students actively engaged in clinical ride-along experiences with various agencies across Washington and Warren Counties. This invaluable practical exposure will help to provide them with real-world insights, further preparing them for their future roles on the ambulance.
Instructor Tims would described them as “passionate and energetic,” and we couldn’t agree more. Their commitment to becoming EMTs is more than admirable, it's inspiring.
Their next step will be to take the NYS Cognitive Exam on their journey to becoming future EMTs. We look forward to seeing these students on the ambulance in Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties soon and are excited to work alongside such a dedicated group.
Please share in wishing this awesome group of students good luck on their Cognitive Exam, we are more than confident they will succeed!
*Every EMT class takes a village of individuals and agencies to help make it special. We would like to take a second to thank Queensbury EMS, their members, the surrounding agencies and anyone who participated in the educational journey of the students. It is greatly appreciated.*

Preceptors:
Huge thank you to all the agencies that allowed our students to ride along with their crews. And to the preceptors who selflessly gave their time, energy and effort to help them achieve their goals. You were great and the students had nothing but positive feedback of all their clinical experiences. We truly can't thank you all enough!
A special thank you to Washington County, NY - Department of Public Safety for bringing your Mobile Command Post/Field Comm bus to our Communications and Special Operations night.
Your team gave our students a rare and invaluable opportunity to step into the world of 911 communication, just short of putting on the headset, they were able to explore the technology you use, listen to real time situations and hear directly from your staff about the critical role you play in field operations.
Your dedication to education, collaboration, and public safety left a lasting impression. We’re grateful for your partnership and the incredible work you do every day behind the scenes.
