Session 3 of our Held Yin Experience 🤍

✨ Theme: Arms + Legs

This week we explore the parts of us that carry, reach, hold, push, and move us forward every single day.

Our legs ground us.
Our arms extend us into the world.

In yin, we slow them down.
We soften the effort.
We create space in the tissues that work so hard for us.

Expect long-held, supported shapes focused on hips, hamstrings, quads, shoulders, and arms — giving your body time to release and your nervous system time to settle.

Less doing.
More feeling.
More being held. 🤍

Charles just hit the 1K mark and we are beyond proud. 💛

That’s 1,000 times he rolled out his mat.
1,000 times he chose growth over excuses.
1,000 times he showed up for himself — and for this community.

✨ Teacher Spotlight ✨
More chances to flow with Julia! In addition to her current class time on Tuesday nights, she’s adding a new class to the schedule. Wednesday @ 9:30am starting Feb 25th Same vibes, more opportunities. Join her! 💛🧘‍♀️1. What first brought you to yoga and what keeps you coming back? I’ve always had a passion for gymnastics and dynamic movement, and yoga is the practice that supports that passion beyond the mat. I love the depth the practice offers—it allows me to expand my physical strength and mobility while simultaneously using the breath and meditation to support my mental health.
2. How would you describe your teaching style? I aim to bring the physical and meditative practices together as one. My goal is to allow students to meet themselves exactly where they are, offering mobility options for physical growth while always bringing the energy back to a meditative state. It’s a “full circle” experience.
3. What’s your favorite pose to teach? I love Triangle pose—specifically the Bikram-style bent-knee version. If I can sneak it into a Vinyasa flow, I will! It engages every muscle group and is incredible for building core strength and skeletal alignment.
4. What do you hope your students feel when they leave your class? I hope my students feel Full, in that they have moved through rigorous physical practice to reach a state of true, earned mental rest.
5. One thing you’re currently loving? I’m currently loving the pairing of Yin with strength training. Leveraging the Yin and Yang of movement helps build stronger physical and mental capabilities and fosters deep personal growth.
6. A fun fact students might not know? I actually started my movement journey as a competitive Break Dancer (B-Girl) in NYC, LA, and Austin! After sustaining some injuries, I transitioned into yoga to find a more sustainable way to move. I still carry that love for music, rhythm, and choreographed movement into every sequence I create.
