Todayās baking session was truly something special ā the kind of moment that stays with you long after the cookies are gone.
We had the privilege of recreating one of our residentās very own oatmeal cookie recipes ā a recipe she used to bake for her children when they were young. As she watched the ingredients come together, you could almost see her traveling back in time. She shared that she hadnāt made these cookies in 25 years, and the memories that came rushing back brought such a warm glow to her face.
With the support, kindness, and teamwork of her peers, she was able to bring her cherished recipe back to life ā and together, we helped her cross something off her bucket list.
The oven wasnāt the only thing warming the room today ā the memories and the sense of togetherness made it truly unforgettable.
And the best part?
This is just the beginning.
Starting this month, weāll be recreating one of our residentsā special family recipes every month, honoring their stories, their traditions, and the beautiful memories they carry with them.
