🌟 Help us welcome Emily Beaver to the VHR family! 🌟

Emily is joining us part-time to assist at the front desk and help with various projects behind the scenes. With her strong background in healthcare, behavioral health, and community support, she brings a warm smile, steady presence, and incredible customer service skills to our team.

And don’t worry — Jason and Jen are still here! They just decided they occasionally deserve a day off (shocking, we know). Emily will be helping support the flow so they can breathe for half a second. 😉

Outside of work, Emily loves coffee, the beach, the mountains, reading, exercising, vacations, and spending time with her kids. She and her husband, Ryan, have been married for 14 years, and family life is her favorite thing in the world.

We’re so excited for you to meet her! 💛 Let’s give her a big VHR welcome!

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is more than the “winter blues.”
It’s a real form of depression that follows a seasonal pattern — most often beginning in late fall and lasting through the winter months when daylight is shorter.

𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘈𝘋:
-Low mood or lack of motivation
-Increased sleep or feeling tired all day
-Craving carbs and changes in appetite
-Loss of interest in activities you normally enjoy
-Difficulty focusing
-Irritability or feeling “on edge”
-Withdrawing from friends, family, or routines

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘐𝘵 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴:
Reduced sunlight disrupts the body’s internal clock and affects serotonin and melatonin — both of which help regulate mood and sleep.
