THANK YOU Quincy for Voting YES!

“It is awesome for Quincy, it is awesome for the future,” Glenda Bishop said. “It’s awesome for our kids who are going to be young adults and say, ‘Look what the community did for us.’”

The County plans to certify the election results on August 16th.

We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for supporting Quincy’s future.

In the first ballot count revealed Tuesday night, more than 60% of voters supported Proposition 1, making it likely Quincy Valley will have a new hospital building.

Whenever we have a patient at QVMC, whether its an inpatient, clinic patient, or ER patient, they are given the opportunity to give us feedback via a survey. Obviously, we get good and bad feedback. But it's all appreciated! Here are a few of the good! 🥰

The August 2nd bond will not exceed $55 million. The construction will be $36 million, $19 million will cover the design, equipment, and permitting. The Foundation and Hospital are working to choose the right architecture company and contractors for the build; while making sure the hospital is the safest, most sustainable and cost effective it can be. Fundraising is also being worked on to bring the price down for the community.

Remember to send in your ballot before August 2nd!

August 2nd we will be voting for the Quincy Hosptial Proposition #1! Don't forget to send in your ballots before then.

How are we funding the new hospital? It will be a capital bond issued at 2 different times. The first bond will be used for construction, while the second bond will be for the remaining costs that are not covered. The total bond will not exceed $55 million, and on average, a $300K home would see less than $150 per year added to their property tax.

With this bond, the community will be able to continue to be a leader and offer the highest quality and sustainable medical services. This will make sure that we can continue to grow and thrive into the future! So make sure to get your ballots in before August 2nd!
