Happy Autumn Equinox! My absolute favorite time of the year! The turning of the seasons is here, where light and dark stand in perfect balance. The equinox reminds us to pause, reflect, and honor both the growth we’ve experienced and the changes still unfolding.

Spiritually, this is a time of gratitude, release, and grounding an invitation to let go of what no longer serves us and welcome the abundance and wisdom of the harvest season.

This celebration is also known as Mabon, the traditional Pagan holiday marking the second harvest. It’s a time to honor the Earth’s generosity, give thanks for abundance, and prepare for the coming winter months. Mabon invites us to find balance within ourselves, in our relationships, and in our spiritual paths, just as day and night stand equal on this sacred day.

Ways to celebrate the Autumn Equinox & Mabon:

Create a gratitude list and reflect on your blessings.

Light candles to honor balance and harmony.

Take a walk in nature and notice the shifting colors and crisp air.

Cook or bake with seasonal foods like apples, squash, or pumpkin.

Set intentions for the months ahead, focusing on balance, rest, and renewal.

Build a small altar with autumn leaves, acorns, or corn to honor the harvest
