Today was the last time he walked through those doors as a patient. Eli had a Cardiac Cath today and everything looked great! They did all the testing needed for the Heart and his Liver the last 2 days, so that they can start fresh with the new Heart Team. Eli doesn't feel as nervous and sad about it as I do. We will start another new chapter of Eli's life as he is turned over to Barnes as an Adult patient living with a Congenital Heart Defect. It's scary to move to a crew of unknown doctors. But he said he knew he would eventually have to change, so he is cool as anything. So Goodbye, St. Louis Children's Hospital and Hello, Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

I wanted to add another 1st for Eli. He also got his 1st car! He and his brother surprised me when they came up on Friday for the weekend at my travel nurse contract. We went to AnimeCon. It was okay for a small convention and Blake played against the "Commander" in the card game Magic and actually beat him. He won some things and barely a handful of people beat him the whole weekend.

Today he got his 1st tattoo. The green Mario mushroom is an "extra life" in the game and the date is his transplant date...

For Eli's 19th birthday, he finally got the gourmet cupcakes he didn't get 5 years ago. I ordered some then they came and told us he got a heart. So no cupcakes for him that day. Lol.
