We had a fun and festive time celebrating Fat Tuesday this afternoon! The room was filled, with the lively sounds of New Orleans jazz, setting the perfect Mardi Gras mood.
Our incredible Chef Bridget, truly outdid herself, with a Southern-style feast, that everyone raved about!! The menu featured crispy Fried Catfish, golden Shrimp, creamy Macaroni & Cheese, and perfectly seasoned Fried Okra. And for dessert, she prepared a scrumptious “King’s Cheesecake!”
Our sweet Joanne, was thrilled to win a fun little prize, after finding the marshmallow “baby” in her slice!! 🤗
And of course… what’s Mardi Gras, without a little something fun to sip?… so We enjoyed Margaritas, and a variety of wines, along with Iced Tea, and lemonade!
Cheers to great drinks, great food, great friends, and a Fat Tuesday done right! 🍷🍾🥂🎭💜💛💚

Activity: Presidents Day Trivia & Snacks Social
Story: In honor of Presidents’ Day, we celebrated with a fun “Presidential” Trivia & Snacks Social!
Our patriotic snack lineup included:
• Jelly Beans – favorites of Presidents Harry S. Truman and Ronald Reagan
• Cottage Cheese with Ketchup – a unique favorite of Richard Nixon
• Pork Rinds – enjoyed by George H. W. Bush
• Chocolate-Covered Pretzels – loved by Barack Obama
• Lay’s Potato Chips – a go-to snack for Donald Trump
Gene and Betty, were the only two brave souls, willing to sample the cottage cheese with ketchup, and they did it with a smile!🤗😜
As we enjoyed our snacks, we also learned some funny, and quirky facts, about several of our U.S. Presidents. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and a little presidential taste-testing fun! 🇺🇸

We celebrated, Valentine’s Day, with our annual, “Candlelight” Supper, and it was a truly special evening! The ambiance, of the soft candlelight, gentle music, and delicious meal, created such a warm and elegant atmosphere, that everyone really enjoyed.
Our menu featured, Spaghetti, topped with Chef Christian’s homemade meat sauce, Chef Bridget’s delicious Olive Garden style salad, and garlic breadsticks from Fazoli’s. The dessert cart was filled with scrumptious sweet treats, including cheesecake petit fours and chocolate-covered strawberries, cherries, and pretzels lovingly prepared by Joyce G.’s daughter, Terri Cameron!! (Thanks Terri!!)❤️
Residents, also enjoyed wine, iced tea, and coffee.
Each resident received a box of Valentine chocolates, to take back to their apartment - a sweet ending to a lovely night. ❤️
In the busyness of the evening, I didn’t capture photos, of all, the delicious food, or our amazing team, but I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Chefs, Bridget and Christian, along with Care Partners, Lori and Tish, for helping make our Valentine evening, so memorable!!
